Karenjit Kaur Vohra was born in Sarnia, Ontario, Canada, to Punjabi Sikh parents. She studied in a Catholic School. When she was 13, her family relocated to the US. Her parents passed away when she was young. She worked in a bakery before she began working as an adult film actress.
When she had to pick a name for her film career, she picked ‘Sunny’ while ‘Leone’ was picked by Bob Guccione, the former owner of the ‘Penthouse’ magazine.
