This grant is available to full-time students with dependants in financial need. You are automatically assessed when you apply for student aid with your province or territory.

Note: This grant is not available to students from the Northwest Territories, Nunavut and Quebec. They have their own student aid programs.
You could be eligible for this grant if you apply and:

Until the end of the 2022 to 2023 school year, you could receive up to $400 for each month you are in school, or up to $3,200 per year, for each dependant. This is on top of your full-time student grant. The school year runs from August 1 to July 31.
