Strikes on Russia continue
Since yesterday morning, Ukrainian forces have been conducting a massive airstrike not only in frontline regions but also in Russia's rear areas, including the Omsk region.
▪️From the morning of July 6th until 8:00 PM, air defense units shot down 116 UAVs. Some of them attacked the Omsk Oil Refinery, the largest Russian refinery over 2,500 km away.
An attack on this facility will worsen Russia's fuel shortage, and the concept of "rear" has now been completely blurred, something that must be acknowledged and countered.
Furthermore, another refinery in the Kaluga region was hit during the day, as confirmed by local authorities. There was also a raid on the Yaroslavl region, where several dozen drones were shot down.
▪️On the night of July 7, the raid continued with an even larger number of drones. Air defense units destroyed at least 452 UAVs over 17 regions of Russia.
The majority of the UAVs flew to Crimea, where the peninsula's energy facilities were hit as part of Ukrainian forces' tactic to weaken the Crimean power grid.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces also launched intensive strikes on Belgorod and the surrounding region, attacking several substations, a thermal power plant, and a gas pipeline. As a result, a blackout occurred in the administrative center.
