How do you deal with a strict and controlling aunt and uncle?
If you are the child. You be as compliant as possible and let your parents know if it gets to stressful.
If it is your brother or sister getting on your kids. . . When you have a chance. Come to some agreement of how you discipline your children.
As an example. Children need to have learned respect for other adult's wishes. Encourage your siblings to let your kids know what is ok or not ok at their house or around their person. An Aunt may not like food eaten anywhere but at the table. Fair enough.

I guess it would depend on whether your Aunt and Uncle are your Guardians. We are seeing this alot more, in situations where the biological Parents are not able to care for their children. So instead of the children going into foster-care with strangers, the relatives step-up, and create a home for their nieces and nephews.
