I've had this mic for a few years now and it's worked great the entire time. It has had really good sound quality that hasn't diminished over time and it's small and compact so it doesn't take up too much space my desk. I also love the blue steel look. My one big complaint though is that the USB port on the mic where the cable plugs in sucks. The cable slips out just enough to disconnect the mic but still have power to have the light on so it looks like it's on and connected but doesn't actually work. I am constantly having to unplug and replug in the cable and if I so much as slightly bump it or breathe wrong near it, I have to start over. And there's no way to tape the cable in place so it doesn't slip out either. I have a small desk and it sits close enough to me to be bumped on a regular basis and I'm sure if I could get a boom stand for it I'd have fewer problems with the cable slipping out. If you don't mind having to double check your mic is connected before recording anything, this mic is great.

The Blue Yeti Nano is a good alternative to the standard Blue Yeti. It is smaller, and lacks 2 of the mic modes; though you will likely only use cardiod. It's not the best audio quality ever, but for a usb mic at its price it is great. Much better than basically any headset mic you can get; additionally, the G-Hub software makes it much better than those headset mics and quite a few usb mics. G-Hub has basically everything someone looking for a usb mic would want. You can adjust gain, equalizer, and lets you modulate your voice. It's not perfect, but for the price it is hard to complain about the nano.

I ordered the Shadow Grey Blue Yeti Nano, but it's a lot darker than what I thought it would be based on the picture. My box said Shadow Grey and it was sealed so I don't think it was a return that was mis-labeled/identified. Not a crazy big deal, just fyi if you were looking for something more on the grey side. Sound quality is pretty good for the price. I have it on an Elgato boom mount, no issues with plosives and I haven't added a screen yet. I'm not too hip on the pattern button on the back... I end up accidentially pressing it from time to time and I have to look at the back to make sure I have it set back to cardiod. I do like the volume button on front with mute/live color band. The USB cable gets in the way of the pivot base on my boom arm. I'll either need to get some extender or a right angle usb adapter so it's not banging on the mount. I use this only for zoom/teams meetings and not for yuber-tuber stuff so it's fine enough for my needs.

Many people say that the shure sm7b would outrank any mic. Why not a Scarlett? Hmm. What a tough decision. The solution is here, folks! It’s a usb mic with AWESOME sound quality. It has been tested to be better than my $400 headphones mic and my $260 earbuds. I have the Bose 700 noise cancellation headphones And AirPod pros This yeti mic is better in microphone quality than these 2 combined. Of course you’ll need a computer to fit the mics power. If you are just on discord all day talking, a yeti mic will only do you good if you have enough ram (in certain context) for all you people out there that do not know what ram is. It’s a component used for, well, helping your computer process things. (Assuming the viewer has no knowledge) if you want to do animations and are considering buying this mic, make sure you have at least 8 gigs of ram for gods sake. You cannot do anything with 4 gigs of ram, let’s face it. If you have 8 gigs of ram and a good i3 cpu, you can use this mic up to full potential. If you have a chronebook, honestly I do not know why you’d need a mic like this, but it should work for them. (I cannot say for sure on older chromebooks) I use my yeti on windows. Works like a charm! No different than the $400 mics in my opinion. Obviously, there is a difference. But compared to the price and what you get, yeti is by far the best in my opinion. If you are just starting out in the music industry or you do gaming on a mid end pc, this is the way to go. Have tons of friends that use it that say all good things about it. Let’s go over the logistics. Package was in GREAT condition! Worked perfectly Not damaged Arrived on time (like always) you know, I’ve never ever had a problem ONCE with it arriving late. With any items. I use Amazon a lot too! Super super easy setup, you just plug the micro usb into the mic and plug the other end of the usb to the USB port on your computer. Well, that should be it. 5 stars all the way. I do animations on Adobe, programming in css and html & JavaScript while on business calls, plus creating audios for the music industry and this has never failed me. 👍👍👍

This is a pretty good mic for my needs and also a good price for what you get. The USB cable supplied made no sense to use with this mic's stand though. Also, I'm not sure why or how, but this mic messes with my computer so much in ways I have never seen a peripheral do. About 25% of the time I turn on or restart my PC, the mic will prevent my PC from booting up, instead all I get is an underscore at the top left of the screen. Even if it manages to boot up Windows when this issue occurs, there's a very good chance that neither my keyboard or mouse will be working, as if they were unplugged. How do I know it is the mic causing it? Well, because as soon as I unplug the mic while these problems are happening, everything fixes itself. My PC proceeds to boot up normally as soon as I unplug the mic and / or my mouse and keyboard start working again. I'm pretty sure the mic is also to blame for my PC not idling to sleep inconsistently, but I haven't confirmed that one. The mic works perfectly fine otherwise.

Really nice mic for gaming, very clear and no static or cracking, probably too good for gaming. Only flaw is that it picks up a lot of sound.. like a lot of background sound (keyboard clicks, mouse taps, door closing…)

Packing, appearance, delivery - all excellent. Some notes (from a 'non-specialist' trying to get the best from the mic ...) 1. Even set on cardiod mode, expect (a lot!) of audible noise from your keyboard and general computer sounds like fan noise. ('Workarounds' to get rid of this are really tedious, mostly involving 'after-editing' being necessary, or installing interfaces for editing etc.) I am going to try a boom arm to hang the mic, to see if this helps. (Will report back.) My keyboard is not a loud one and using a recording head-set, almost no keyboard or computer noise gets picked up. I know that this is an open mic, so an entirely different beast, but ... 2. Reasonably quiet for recording otherwise, with warm, but crisp, clean and well-balanced sound. Nice! 3. Size - OK. (The non-nano Blue Yeti looks gigantic and clumsy compared to the nano!) 4. Sound settings - be aware of the following: - There is no 'Gain' dial on this model. Online instructions you might find for the non-nano version of Blue Yeti (with 'Gain' dial) may be confusing and/or lead you into unnecessary complications as you work with the sound - expect to find lots of contradictory advice on YouTube, for example. - On Windows - advise that you take the time to learn how to tweak the sound through the main Control Panel before trying anything more complex. - The mic will not work without monitor earphones or earbuds plugged into the 3.5mm on the body of the mic itself. So if you just want to simply record your voice into the computer without needing to monitor it, and without being online etc ... you'll still need to have earphones/earbuds plugged in. (For most normal use, you don't really need to monitor, so I'm not sure how useful this is, at all.) - Consider installing OBS software if you'll be using the mic for voice-over or live streaming. - it will give you visible and accessible 'tweak controls' while you're working. - BEWARE 'Blue Sherpa' (Beta version), available from the Blue website as a free downloa
