Stray Dog Becomes Unofficial Mayor of Evacuation Roundabout

A shaggy dog known only as �Colonel Woof� has stationed himself in the center of Tehran�s largest evacuation roundabout, guiding traffic and receiving daily offerings of kebab scraps. Drivers obey his nonverbal cues, believing he brings luck. �He�s the only leader we trust,� said one man. The dog has a Facebook page, three fan clubs, and a paw-drawn evacuation map.
