This video promotes itself as a documentary about straight men living in proximity to gay culture and/or friendships. It does that about 20% of the time during the video. The rest of the time of the video is a whole lot of product placement mentions or demo's for a clothing line. From salespeople talking about the brand and saying what they wear and why to the brand owners view on fashion. Blah blah blah blah...... It goes back to the same store close to 10 times throughout the video and switches to other stories for short blurbs before going back to blah blah blah fashion brand. Then to add insult to injury the last 1/4 of the video time is promotional material for other videos. Really a let down on so many fronts from what it could have been. Maybe the clothing brand was the only way the creator could afford to produce the video? Only reason I can think of to completely trash a good concept.

So now straight guys have another reason to be seen as superior people for simply not hating gay guys. Riiiiight. Look at me I'm so special for not hating gay guys and I think I'm sexy. WHATEVER!

This is a 40 minute commercial for Ruff Skin and it's very poorly constructed. In no way is this a "documentary".

This film does a great job at showing us what's happening across the major populated areas. Some places have no gay bars or have had exposure to this beautiful colorful and world. It did very well expressing the job at how we gays treat each other. Having lived in Montreal I believe all of my bases were expressed straight to the guts of the big gay world. Regarding relationships and how boomers grew up with rejection and fear where as today its like "can you pass me the kleenex?" My generation fought for the freedom of our growing younger generation and it is so awesome to see this freedom I did not have in my day. We as a community need to be sensitive to each other and respect each other so much more for their sake. We need to represent that we are about loving each other and not your shoes or penis size. We are now at a stage where we are blending in everywhere so much so though as the message from this film states. You cannot judge a book by it's cover.

I know some of the guys from this production. After watching, it actually gave some insight into the mentality/psychology of those guys. Not a judgement, by any means, toward straights in the "gayborhood".... Good job giving a voice to the misunderstood and all-too-often under appreciated allies of Family.

i think my headline says it all. also, as with most of the LGBQT documentaries / movies I've been seeing on Prime, a very non-diverse cast :/ wouldn't watch again, but somehow finished it

Four straight men French kissed four gay men on camera to experiment with their sexuality and challenge societal notions of masculinity.
The video, by lesbian couple Bria and Chrissy , also seeks to comment on the lack of space men have to be sexually fluid in society.
The pair told The Huffington Post that women seem to have more room to experiment with a spectrum of sexuality, whereas expectations of masculinity don’t give men quite the same leeway
“It’s OK and that it should be OK for men to experiment,” Bria told The Huffington Post. “Also, there are men out there ― and here are 4 of them ― who are secure enough in their sexuality to defy societal norms, who are models of how people should be able to act without being called ‘fags’ or being told ‘there is no way they’re straight,’ to name just a few of the comments we have received.”
