The tradition of collegiate a cappella performance in the United States is a long one -- it was almost a century old when Straight No Chaser formed in 1996, becoming the first a cappella group on the campus of the University of Indiana. The group was first assembled by its leader, Dan Ponce, and won wild popularity on the campus and beyond, singing at professional sports games and competing in the National Championship of Collegiate A Cappella at New York's Carnegie Hall. As popular as the outfit was during its school days, its visibility increased dramatically after a brief reunion in 2006, when videos of old

NATE She barged into my life out of the blue. Totally unexpected. Sweet and gorgeous. But one warm look from Camryn’s grey eyes, and one sweet smile thrown at me, has me on my knees. NATE She barged into my life out of the blue. Totally unexpected. Sweet and gorgeous. But one warm look from Camryn’s grey eyes, and one sweet smile thrown at me, has me on my knees. Doesn’t change the fact that I can’t have her, but that’s alright. I’ll keep drowning in her beautiful eyes and drinking in her soft voice until she has to leave town. But then threats come her way, harming her while I can’t do anything to stop it, and the instinctive need to protect her kicks in. Whether she wants it or not, I won’t leave her side until I know she’s safe. And when she gives in to the attraction burning between us, I realize something. I don’t want to leave her side at all. CAMRYN Grief and loneliness have been my closest friends for a year, and a change is long overdue. A walk down memory lane in my hometown sounds ideal to start letting go of this never-ending sorrow and try to meet the carefree, happy girl I once was again. But back in Texas, it’s not that girl I meet first. Nate Bowers, president of the Chaos Chasers, is not a saint. He says so himself. As a pragmatic teacher, I should run from that handsome man as fast as I can. But behind his hard exterior and primitive side, all I see in his brown eyes is a caring, gentle man he shows only to me. And when a past that I didn’t even know was mine tries to harm me, letting me know that Evil can borrow the sweetest face and leave you totally unaware of the danger surrounding you, Nate’s protectiveness has me falling for him.

Loved it! Fucking loved it! No Club Whores drama, no OW drama, just H and h. H is sweet and h is strong. I loved how they met, naturally and sweet. I did not like the final chapters so much, BUT I’m so reading more this author and the next books.

For the first time in a very long while, Camryn has returned to the home where she grew up and lived with her parents. It has been quite a few years since she was last here, but it has just been too painful to return after her parents had been killed in a car crash. Now, it is finally time for her to face these ghosts. A year ago her fiancé was killed in a plane crash and she needs time away from her apartment in L.A. to finally say good bye to her lost loved ones. Shortly after arriving in town, Camryn meets a man named Nate. The two share a strong attraction, though Camryn isn’t yet ready to yield her heart again. Nate is afraid to tell her that he is the president of a Motorcycle Club, as most of the women he meets who aren’t part of the club tend to avoid him after they discover his association to the Club. There is also another problem that Nate notices as he grows closers to Camryn; a rival club’s members seem to be following her around. What is it they want from her? And can Nate, who has been falling for her, keep her safe? This is very definitely not a book for younger readers as there is a great deal of rather descriptive sex throughout the book. This is not normally the type of book I would seek out, but as I got into the story I found myself being drawn into the tale & wanting to see where it was going. I found myself needing to read through to the end to see what happened to the main characters. I do wish that the book had gone through another round of editing though, as parts of the book could have used it. Overall though, I did enjoy reading it.

While the writing wasn't all there for me, this book just lacked. I was so bored. A lot of things happened that I rolled my eyes at but I kept zoning out. It took days for me to finish and I just wasn't invested in the plot. It just seemed boring to me.

But Camryn is already part of it, unbeknownst to both of them, and when it comes down to it, Nate may need to defend her with his life. Character development: Nate and Camryn were both interesting characters, although I did wonder at times how Camryn made it through life while being so oblivious. Nate was a strong hero wihout being overbearing. The secondary characters were actually as intriguing as the main characters, and I look forward to their stories as well. The crises that punctuate the second half of the story seem impossible - all these family connections - but they do allow the overall plot to prgress, and since they were handled in the context of a plot rather than just being thrown at us as singualr events, it didn't bother me too much. Those problems did allow us to meet the ongoing series bad guys. Would I read more from this author/in this series: yes Next book in the series: Jayce

Grammatical Errors Abound-DNF Unfortunately, this book was filled with grammatical errors, making it impossible for this Grammar Nazi to finish reading. I stopped reading around page 35. This book was fantastic! Full of action and suspense. Couldn’t put my kindle down. This was new author for me. I will definitely be reading the rest of this series. Camyrn is home for a visit when she meets Nate. Nate is president of the local MC. They get along really well, but Camyrn is still grieving. Which causes her to keep Nate at a distance. That is until an unknown threat presents itself and Nate is hell bent on protecting her...

I enjoyed the story of Camryn and Nate. I liked that this wasn't your traditional MC romance. Nate and Camryn connect at a diner that she use to go when she lived there with her parents. Now that she has come back to clean up their home and move on she finds herself being drawn in by Nate. Their story was steamy with the twists that I expect from an MC romance.

Camryn hasn’t been to her hometown since her parents' tragic deaths in a car accident but after the death of her fiance, she decides it is time to face her past. I have been exploring the at times murky world of MC romance lately - and this was definitely a good find! (And it is KU so if you have that it is affordable!) Camryn at first seemed timid and sensitive and sad - and she is - but her strength and love are strong. And she is a fighter in her own right and it was fun as a reader to watch her grow into that. Nate is a great lead! He fights his own tendency to be overbearing and overwhelming and lets Cam call the shots on their relationship. Even going so far as to let her - potentially - break his heart. He balances protective and possessive well and doesn’t turn into an alphahole. I am a habitual read in
