1. Introduction & Privacy Philosophy

StorStor is built on a strict local-first, privacy-first architecture. All your inventory entries, location hierarchies, notes, images, and history records are stored exclusively on your local device storage. Zero advertising SDKs, zero telemetry, zero analytics.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect names, emails, phone numbers, advertising IDs, or IP addresses. We do not operate tracking servers or sell data to third parties.

3. Local Data Storage & Permissions

- RECORD_AUDIO: Used solely in real-time for voice recognition when you press the microphone button. Audio is never stored.
- CAMERA: Used exclusively to take item photos.
- POST_NOTIFICATIONS: Used for local scheduled reminders for returned items.
- Storage / Media: Used for local image selection and exporting JSON database backups.

4. Optional AI Features (Google Gemini)

When you supply your own Gemini API Key, queries are sent directly to Google servers via encrypted HTTPS without intermediary tracking.

5. Data Portability & Export

You can export your complete inventory to an open JSON format anytime via Settings -> Export.
