Reverse stocking stitch is worked on a multiple of 2 rows, alternating purl and knit rows. The purl stitches make the right side of the work, and the knit stitches the wrong side of the work. As the edges of this pattern can curl, a garter stitch boarder has been added.

Worked example in photograph: 22 sts cast on and knit in pattern for 28 rows resulting in a 10cm wide x 10cm high swatch when blocked out.
