• A short description of what you were doing when the problem happened
• A screenshot, if relevant
Common questions
Where is my data stored?
All of your projects, yarn, patterns, hooks, and photos are stored locally on your device. Nothing is uploaded to the developer or to any third party. See the privacy policy for full details.
Why is iCloud Sync not in Settings?
iCloud Sync is planned for a future version of Stitch & Hook. The first release is intentionally local-only so the app can be relied on offline and without an iCloud account.
How do I back up my data?
For now, your iPhone or iPad's standard iCloud Backup (Settings → [your name] → iCloud → iCloud Backup) includes the app's local data, just like any other app. If you restore your device from backup, your Stitch & Hook library comes with it.
How do I delete a project, yarn, pattern, or hook?
Swipe left on any row in the list and tap Delete. The item and all its photos/files are removed immediately.
The PDF for one of my patterns won't open.
Try removing the pattern and re-importing it. Some PDF exports from older software include features that PDFKit can't render — the importer should accept those files anyway, but the in-app reader may show a blank page for them. Opening the PDF in Apple's Files app and re-saving it usually fixes this.
Can I share a project with someone else?
Not yet. Sharing and collaboration features may come in a future version. For now, individual pattern PDFs can be shared from the pattern detail screen using the share button.
Feature requests and feedback
If there's something you'd like Stitch & Hook to do, please email it in. Each update is shaped by the things makers actually ask for, and any thoughtful note has a real chance of making the next version.
