Privacy Policy for Stitch & Hook

Stitch & Hook is designed to be private by default. This privacy policy explains, plainly, what we do and don't do with your information.

What we collect

Nothing. Stitch & Hook does not collect, transmit, store on remote servers, or share any personal information, usage data, or content you create in the app.

Where your data lives

All of your projects, yarn entries, patterns, hooks, photos, tags, settings, and other content are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. The data never leaves your device.

Analytics and tracking

Stitch & Hook contains no analytics SDKs, no tracking pixels, no third-party advertising frameworks, and no telemetry of any kind. We do not know how often you open the app, which features you use, or whether you are using the app at all.

Third-party services

Stitch & Hook does not use any third-party services that collect or process data. It does not communicate with any external servers operated by the developer or by third parties.

Future iCloud sync

A future version of Stitch & Hook may add an optional iCloud sync feature. If you choose to enable it, your data will sync between your own devices using Apple's CloudKit framework, stored in your own private iCloud account. The developer of Stitch & Hook will not have access to, and cannot see, any of the data synced this way. iCloud sync, when introduced, will be off by default.

Photos

If you choose to attach photos to a project or yarn entry, the photos are read from your photo library through Apple's standard photo picker. The chosen photos are copied into Stitch & Hook's local storage on your device. The app never accesses your full photo library - only the specific photos you select.

PDF patterns

If you import a PDF pattern through the in-app file picker, the file is copied into Stitch & Hook's local storage on your device. PDFs are not transmitted anywhere.

Children's privacy

Stitch & Hook does not collect any information from any user, including children under 13. The app is safe for users of any age.

Your rights

Because no data is collected or stored remotely, there is no user data to access, correct, export, or delete on our side. To remove all data, delete the app from your device — this removes everything locally.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in any meaningful way, the change will be reflected in an updated date at the top of this page and (where applicable) in the app's release notes.
