Sterling Furious At Former Norwich General Manager 'Racist Remarks'
"Shame on you."
Raheem Sterling (Chelsea) was angered by comments made by former head of Norwich City Stuart Webber of the English Premier League (EPL) about black players.
The Sun reported on the 25th that Sterling expressed displeasure with Webber, who said he was at risk of potentially going to prison if not for a soccer player.
According to the media, some players, including Sterling, demanded an explanation from Webber in Webber's remarks. Troy Townsend, head of Kick It Out, an anti-discrimination organization within the soccer community, also protested.
The mother of Bournemouth defender Max Aarons told X (Twitter) that "all black players and their families were shocked by Weber's racist comments and disrespect."
"A sports director should not make such a statement publicly. It's a disgrace," he added.
In response to the anger and backlash, Webber reportedly apologized to the player and his family. 메이저 토토사이트
