When Mr. Skin thinks of fondue, visions of warm, gooey swiss and chocolate-covered marshmallows flirt deliciously through his mind, followed by the naked image of Stephanie Fondue . Even with a totally nude starring role as Jeannie in The Cheerleaders (1973), this pig-tailed hottie somehow never quite made it to big-time Hollywood star status. Of course, the reason could also be this was Steph’s only film credit—only acting credit, actually. And Mr. Skin can only assume her name may be nothing more than a cheesy alias, given that a few other actors from the movie were credited as Jovita Bush, Brandy Woods, Richard Meatwhistle, and Howdy Gowdy (Seriously. Mr. Skin couldn’t make this shit up.). So when tit (Hah! Typo! Mr. Skin is going to leave it!) came time to find out more about this sizzler, there was nothing to find. Only the writer and director of Cheerleaders , Paul Glicker (who went from X-rated Hot Circuit to this film, then on to PG-rated Running Scared ) knows for sure where young Stephanie came from, but it’s quite evident why he chose her; her youthful innocence and subtle sexuality leant a great deal to the part, which, fortunately, included a lot of nudity. Get ready for a slew of gratuitous nude moments, including several sex scenes, a shower sequence, and one shot in particular where Stephanie’s vertical smile (Mr. Skin is especially proud of that phrasing) would be plainly visible to the camera, were it not for her incredibly massive muff. She leaves very little to the imagination in the flick, to say the most of the least. Cheesy, but so good.

Stephanie Fondue somehow never quite made it into The Big Time, although we think that she completely deserved all the fame and fortune that Holly-Wad offers up. That’s quite a tall order, considering that Stephanie’s one-and-only role (that’s right, fellers… She’s a One-Time-Wonder…) was in the X-Rated comedy The Cheerleaders in 1973.
