A Texas man, 57, who allegedly showed his 17-year-old stepdaughter porn videos to teach her about sex, has been arrested on display of harmful material charges.
Police began an investigation on a Grapevine man, whose name has been withheld to protect the teen, in December after receiving a call from his stepdaughter and her biological father, the Star-Telegram reported. 
The stepfather had wanted to teach the teen about sex because she had recently started dating. After the girl told him she never wanted to have sex, he began to show her the pornographic videos.
The man 'had became concerned with her comments because during his first marriage, his wife had an issue with having sex', an affidavit obtained by the Telegram stated. 
'He didn’t want [his stepdaughter] to suffer from the same issues his ex-wife did.' 
The teen, who is now 18, told police the incidents began in August 2016. She claimed her stepfather showed her the videos in their home office about six to eight times, the affidavit stated.

But the 57-year-old admitted to showing her 'soft romantic porn' videos on only two occasions. 
He would allegedly raise the volume on the television in the living room, and call his daughter into the office to show her the videos while her mother slept in a bedroom.
The teen told authorities she had told her stepdad she was uncomfortable with watching the videos with him. She also claims he showed her a topless picture of her mother. 
The man was arrested last month after he surrendered to police officers after a warrant was issued. 
The mother of the teen told police she confronted her husband about the allegations and he admitted to showing her daughter the videos twice. 
He is facing misdemeanor charges of selling, distributing, or displaying harmful material to a minor.
