March 14th comes a month after Valentine’s Day, but many don’t actually know that it is an unofficial holiday of its own.
What holiday might that be? I hear you ask. Well, March 14th is Steak and BJ Day. The holiday is mostly observed online, by people all over the world who post about their plans for the day on Twitter.
Here is everything we know about Steak and BJ Day and our favourite reactions from 2022..
Steak and BJ day. Is this a thing? 😐
Steak and BJ Day is a somewhat satirical holiday started as an internet response to Valentine’s Day. It is held a month after February 14th, on March 14th.
The day is essentially described as a “men’s” Valentine’s Day in which they are expected to eat steak and get lucky.
March 14th is also known as Pi Day around the world. Pi is the symbol used in mathematics to represent the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter.
On Pi Day, maths enthusiasts recite as many digits of Pi as they can, eat pie, and talk about maths. In summary, it is a much more wholesome than Steak and BJ Day.
I don’t think I need to spell it out for you, it is in the name.
Hilariously, there is a Facebook page which goes by the name of “Steak and BJ Day” whose entire purpose is to post about the day each year. This year, on Valentine’s Day, the page wrote :
“It is that time of year! Reminder: Valentine’s Day is on Monday. Time is running out to make reservations, and buy flowers or gifts. Treat her special on her day, so she will treat you special on March 14.”
The page encourages people partaking in Steak and BJ Day to share pictures of their steaks in the comment section, which is always flooded with people keen to share!
Not only is it Steak and BJ day… @easyJet have also announced a flight back to Belfast from Gatwick on a Saturday night. Can this day get any better??

Dh reminds me with a cheeky wink that it's that delightfully thought up day of the year .

I explain being heavily pregnant and feeling like a cow there's not a chance! He's now going to buy and cook us steak tonight after not getting the steak side of the day out of his head. So... I'm getting a steak dinner cooked for me and nothing else will be happening . AIBU?

YANBU-
my DP made quite a fuss about it last year- I kindly reminded him that the more he banged on about it the less likely it was to happen. He didn't get the message-
So I bought and cooked him steak and went about the rest of the evening with an air of innocence.
Don't try to pressure me into doing something, it's not nice!

He learnt his lesson and I haven't heard a peep this year
