The work is devoted to the problem of oxidation of Si(7+)-cluster by the impact of an external electric field.
A first-principles study of the oxidation pattern in the magic Si7 cluster has been carried out by means of density functional theory, using the generalized gradient approximation functional.
The structure of the cluster and the electronic distribution of the atoms have been optimized by the Hartree-Fock method.
A set of nine oxidation states of Si has been calculated.
In the structure, the covalent bonds are formed by Si—Si and Si—O bonds.

Аннотация.
Исследуются особенности строения и электронной структуры ионов Si13 и Si17.
Показано, что в соединениях с атомами Si в качестве катионов, как правило, присутствуют группы Si-Si, а в соединениях Si6 и Si11 - группы Si-O, причем в последнем случае наблюдаются особенности, связанные с наличием в ядре атома Si шестичленного цикла.
Для ионов с общей формулой Si3+, Si4+ и Si5+ получены значения квантовых чисел, позволяющие определить их валентные состояния.
