STATEMENT FROM FORMER GAMENESS EMPLOYEES

Yesterday morning, on May 18, 2025, we learned of Gameness CEO Burak Çevik’s unexpected and shocking announcement at the same time as the public.


Shortly after, we received an email informing us that we, the entire company staff, had been abruptly laid off. Furthermore, the rights we had earned through months of hard work were postponed to an uncertain future.


This email, which has since circulated on social media and various platforms, cannot fully convey the shock we experienced. We especially want to highlight that even the C-Level and management staff were unaware of these decisions — our senior executives were just as blindsided by this sudden development as the rest of you.


We, who have worked tirelessly day and night for the Gameness App, its community, and operations, driven solely by our shared dream with you, are now left with deep disappointment and a sense of victimization.


Across all departments, we moved forward with only our responsibilities and belief in the project. As a united team, we want to clearly and sincerely state the following:

The rumors suggesting the team “sold out” are completely false.

100% of Gameness shares, all investments, and full control of the GNESS Token have always been solely in the hands of Burak Çevik. All team members were promised that the team tokens we were entitled to post-TGE would be added to our contracts. However, our token rights remain locked for 6 months, and none of us have been included in any smart contract. Burak Çevik’s act of cutting all communication with us through a single email yesterday morning, turning off his phone, ignoring all messages, and distancing himself from the team and the country — leaving us helpless in front of the community — has left us all in shock.


We deeply feel your anger and disappointment — as much as you do. Please understand our profound sorrow.


Unfortunately, since we learned about this situation at the same time as the rest of the world, we have no information about what is truly going on. But know this: as we carry this heavy burden on our shoulders, we are feeling exactly the same emotions as you.


As former Gameness employees, we are also eagerly waiting for the truth behind this disinformation to come to light, and like everyone else, we hope for an environment where we too can seek our rights.
