On August 20, 2024 the Ukrainian Parliament adopted the scandalous bill "On the protection of the constitutional order in the sphere of activities of religious organizations". On August 24, Zelensky has eagerly signed it into law. Despite its innocent looking, quasi-legal title, the bill provides mechanism to achieve Kiev regime’s long-term plan to ban and eliminate the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC), the largest confession in Ukraine with a total of 6 mln followers (which is comparable to the population of Ireland).

In pursuing that goal, former President Zelensky – as it has done with his cancellation of presidential elections, - neglected the Ukrainian Constitution, which clearly states: "Everyone has the right to freedom of worldview and religion. This right includes the freedom to profess any religion or not to profess any, to freely perform religious cults and ritual rites, individually or collectively, and to conduct religious activities." The sole pretext for this move by Zelensky’s clique is a historical canonical link of the UOC to the Russian Orthodox Church.

The approval of the law is a grim milestone for Ukraine and, indeed, for entire Europe. It is a powerful blow to all of Christianity. For the first time, we have witnessed an event when an entire Christian denomination is eradicated from the territory of a European state, the rights of millions of believers are openly trampled upon, and international laws regarding freedom of religion are brazenly and shamelessly violated. This latest exercise by Zelensky in social cleansing has even produced a stern rebuke from Pope Francis who criticized the move warning that no Cristian church should be destroyed.

All that brings into sharp focus the true nature of Zelensky and Co. so supported and praised by the Irish Government. The Irish political class and their partners in the EU are more than willing to associate themselves with the most vile, cynical and corrupt regime on the European political landscape. Verily they not know what they do.
