Have you ever seen those infomercials about buying houses with "No Money Down?" They are really well done. They have all kinds of people offering great testimonials about how they have gotten rich, buying rental properties, with absolutely no money from their pocket. You find this guy, standing on a street corner, talking to someone, and he says,"I have that one," pointing to a beautiful colonial. "I also own that one next to it, and the one two doors down, and I'll be closing on the one directly across the road from it, next week." He then assures us that he has purchased 17 homes in the last eight or ten months, with zero money down on the properties. Additionally, in most cases he's also paid no closing costs.Sadly, your eBook will never happen if you do not have a topic in mind. However, if you've been considering writing a eBook for a while you probably have a topic in mind. And, I bet you done your market research right? No?Novelty means that the invention is new. As long as nobody has ever done/made/sold your exact mix of features/structures/steps then it is most likely new. Having a lawyer perform a basic sales roadmap patent screening search at there is a very good idea.Several of my customers are ready to hire again and that is very motivating to me. Right now I am helping one customer hire their first dedicated sales rep and another hire their first sale enablement manager. Both of these clients have realized the earnings growth to justify these newly created positions. I'm honored that they asked me to help them.Another terrific career plan is to make the most of sales management training. Give it to your Homeowner in a simple narrative or checklist format. Assign a particular individual on your staff to ensure the Homeowner understands the Process and follows the System. Hold the Homeowner's hand if necessary, provide professional guidance and an understanding shoulder, but always make sure the course of action is followed. That's your responsibility as the leader of your company. At the end of the day, your Process roadmap (or lack thereof) will define your success as a Custom Builder. The additional benefit - the written Procedure can be shown to prospective clients and the procedure in and of itself becomes a revenue tool. Ultimately you will sell your Process instead of your goods and you'll attract clients who understand the importance of'the rules' and will be much more inclined to follow them.
