"Stars" algorithm
ApitradeIn the USD-M bot control panel in the futures and spot bot "Hurricane" there is a free screener for users with icons in the form of one or two stars next to each coin - this shows its current strength in relation to other coins, as well as to BTC and ETH.
In addition, there is data on the rate of change in the price of each coin over various periods of time, as well as on the rate of growth or decline in trading volumes for the coin.
The data is updated in real time and is taken into account when assigning stars to coins. If a coin has 1 or especially 2 stars, it means that it is exceptionally strong right now and is recommended for running a long bot with a stop behind the last low. The data in the table can also be used for manual trading using the terminal for selection. During the next small price drop of BTC, open the table of USD bots and sort, for example, by coin growth over the last 5 minutes. You will see coins that rise even though bitcoin falls, which means that during the bounce of bitcoin, they are very likely to shoot even more. Of these coins, it is best to choose those that have grown over the past day and week, but not very much (for example, no more than 20% per week) and those whose trading volumes are growing.
Automatic mode for buying the most powerful coins:
The "Stars" algorithm is recommended to run in automatic mode only when the market is growing. When you start in a steadily falling market, you will get a significant loss from the frequent triggering of the lower stop loss (if it is enabled) or long trade drawdowns.
If you run a long bot on a coin with this algorithm, then as soon as the coin has a star icon and there is a corresponding funding value, the bot will open a long trade and start trading, placing a grid of buy orders below the current price and (after opening a position) orders to sell above the current price. If you do not want to wait for the first limit order to be filled, then check the "Market" box next to the "First opening order". It is recommended to select the bot settings in such a way that the loss from stop losses is less than the potential profit. During certain periods of the market (when the entire market only falls for a long time), this is impossible, therefore it is recommended to run the "Stars" algorithm only when the market is growing (in particular, the Fear and Greed Index is steadily growing).
The "Stars" algorithm has several settings that the user can use:
1. If the star disappears - close on the market when PNL is more than (in USD or in percentage terms). If nothing is specified in the field, then the system value ($3) will be used. If you have a large deposit, then it makes sense to indicate a larger number in this field.
2. Run only with two stars. If the setting is enabled, then when one star appears, trades will not be opened.
3. The maximum growth per day, at which to open a position.
If the growth is greater than the specified one, the position will not be opened. If the position has already been opened with a smaller increase, then the bot will continue to trade as usual. If nothing is specified in the field, then the system value (indicated in gray) will be used, therefore, with a larger daily growth, deals by stars will not be opened, even if the star opposite the coin is displayed in the table of USD bots.
4. Timeout. You can set a delay after which the bot will start again on a star after closing a trade on the same coin.
5. Maximum funding. Funding shows the mood of the crowd: a large positive funding (for example, more than 0.08%) means that the price on futures is much higher than on spot, due to the fact that the coin is very actively bought long. At such moments, the probability of a sharp correction is highest due to the cascading liquidation of long players using high leverage. If nothing is specified in the field, then the system value (indicated in gray) will be used, therefore, with a larger funding, trades by stars will not be opened, even if the star opposite the coin is displayed in the table of USD bots.
Be sure to set General Limits to mitigate risk.
It is recommended to use "Stars" algo in conjunction with a single anti-liquidation and a dynamic limit on the maximum number of positions. Also be sure to indicate the limit on the number of simultaneously launched bots by "Stars" algo.
