For me, alicorn Twilight, Flash Sentry and Flurry Heart never bothered me. I enjoyed the MLP film and am ok with Equestria Girls. Knowing how Sunset Shimmer and Starlight Glimmer were originally, I am ok with the characters and yet have mixed feelings toward them.
For me, some of the humor fandom is funny, but some of it is offensive and not funny. When it comes to the violent material like Rainbow Factory and Cupcakes, I'm not a fan, but to each their own. The sexual material is also to each their own.
Alicorn Twilight is a weird one. I do like pre-alicorn Twilight more, and the general feeling of the world before then. I liked when all of the mane 6 were on "equal" ground, when Twilight became an alicorn she was set apart from the rest. She is the special one. Another thing that bothers me about the alicorification is I like the ideas that either becoming an alicorn is impossible or it is achievable for most ponies if they become good enough at their talent. While Twilight did work hard for ascension, she also got extremely lucky or it was a chosen one situation. I don't hate alicorn Twilight, but in my opinion it makes her feel too special when compared to everyone else and came too soon in the scope of the show.
I'm not a fan of EQG. I don't like the look of the characters but more so wish we could have had more actual pony movies instead.
Sunset Shimmer, I have not seen much of EQG so eh. I do like the idea that when the overarching power of harmony or w/e needs something, in this case a friendship princess, it poops out a bunch of cookie cutter ponies that could potentially fit that roll (Twi, GlimGlam, Sunset) and just hopes one of em finds their way to it.
I like Starlight, she has replaced Twilight as best pony for me. She brought back a lot of what went away with alicorn Twilight and her friendship fuckups are always entertaining. I know a point of contention is that her character should have been irredeemable, which I get, but I'm glad she stuck around either way.
Other than the pony movie being rather generic it was okay.
Violence and sexual material... I think violence can add a lot to fan fiction/animation/games, there is a decent amount of fights in the show so I don't think it breaks cannon or anything like that. Furthermore, without violence and fighting I think fandom creations would lose a lot of the allure. Even in excessive amounts, as you said Cupcakes and Rainbow Factory, it can be neat to see people's interpretation of characters actions and reactions in extreme circumstances, and can lead to good offshoots of fan art or music. I don't read much fanfiction but one of the stories I read was Hard Reset (I think that was the name, also spoilers ahead), which involves Twilight getting stuck in a loop trying to stop a changeling invasion, and every time she dies she goes back to the start. It was fun to see how she slowly got used to dying over and over, how she solved it, and the after effects of PTSD. There were several out of character sections but it was still good, except for this next bit.
There were a couple sections involving sexual content. For instance, so you're saying that despite having died hundreds of times at this point, all of the previous events from the show, trying again and again to stop the changeling invasion the "hardest thing" Twilight has ever done is come out as gay to her mom? really? Then she later goes on to bang luna something, I skipped over most of those parts. It just feels so... wrong. To me when people inject their own ideas about the sexuality of characters it just doesn't fit. Artistic creations I'm not a fan of either. The show itself is rather wholesome (I get this is against my earlier thoughts on violence somewhat) to see the characters in lewd situations I find gross.
I don't look down on anyone who does enjoy that kind of sexual stuff, different people like different things, I just personally try to avoid it.

I agree with you, people can like what they like. When I meant by violence, I meant stuff like creepypasta, Rainbow Factory or Cupcakes.
I thought alicorn Twilight was only a big deal because it caused the writers to write themselves into a corner. It's easy to see why they did this-they thought the show was ending. Once it was clear it would continue they were faced with the difficult task of having a near-omnipotent character who could handle pretty much anything. It's led to her being pushed into the background and all sorts of story issues since. That said I don't think that's as big an issue now as it was in season's 4, 5 and especially 6.
As far as Flash and Flurry they never bothered me because they were barely in the show. I might roll my eyes the FlashLight stuff but I was more annoyed at the camp counselor thing being pushed due to it being kind of creepy. Flurry's supplied some pretty cute comics and stories and wish they had let Twilight spend a bit more time with her in the show. Then again I wish they'd let her spend more time with Moondancer but oh, well.
I like Starlight now despite hating her when she showed up. I think she's awesome with Trixie. I wish Sunset was in the show but at least they've got some better scripts over on the EQD side of things now. I got my Sunset pony plush so I'm happy.
As far as the humor and fandom stuff goes I'm all for creativity and freedom of expression. If some of it is 'offensive' oh, well. Then again I'm biased as I'm a fan of clop and have drawn it in the past lol.
Alicorn Twilight I missed the boat on, as well as EQG 1. I enjoy EQG as it's own side thing that gives me a break from the setting of Ponyville. As much as I love Ponyville, it does get tiring after so long, and EQG is a nice palette cleanser. Honestly I think more of the controversy comes from the fans debating over whether EQG is "Canon" or not, something that drives me up a tree. You're the fans. You don't have a say in what is canon. That is the writers decision. And they have made it very clear that it is in the past 3 years.
As for Sunset....I adore her. Best designed character in the show, and best redemption arc out of all of the villains. Mostly because...she had an arc.
Flurry Heart and Flash I have really the same opinion on, that being "Are you gonna do anything significant beyond show up and do what you were created to do? No? Okay, cool, go do what you were made to do and then go back into your hole.". They serve a purpose and then cease to exist.
The movie? Eh, it was fine. No real big opinion there, just...it was good.
Cupcakes and Rainbow Factory I again, missed the boat on, me coming into the fandom at the beginning of Season 4, after binging the show on Netflix. But...eh, they're fan projects. They exist, I don't care for them. No harm done.
As for Humor? Well, if you don't find something funny, don't watch it. Same with the sexual stuff. If you aren't into it, avoid it. Don't complain, just find stuff you like and watch that instead.
That's my big takeaway here. If you don't like something, don't pitch a fit about it. Move on to something else.

I just tolerate. While I may not enjoy certain things about the fandom, I just keep my personal opinions mostly to myself and only express it in terms of civil criticism. What I absolutely do not tolerate is attacking or insulting anypony who enjoys said things (ex. mature humor, hardcore fandom, r34) and encouraging anyone else to do the same.
Speaking of which, I remember an askreddit thread that mentioned Bronies, and it was pretty nasty. Apparently it is still popular to define an entire community by the actions of a few bad apples. I remember someone attacking the fandom because his kid's friend showed the kid MLP r34 and she got traumatized—even though a) this type of stuff exists for nearly everything else and b) don't blame the people who enjoy it, blame the friend who wasn't supposed to be searching it up to begin with (unless it was accidental).
I thought you were going to combine all of those together.
