Alpha Patch 3.9.0b has been released to Evocati, and is now available to test!  Patch should now show: VERSION 3.9.0-PTU.4796414.

It is strongly recommended that players delete their USER folder for the Public client after patching, particularly if you start encountering any odd character graphical issues or crash on loading. The USER folder can be found (in default installations) at C:\Program Files\Roberts Space Industries\StarCitizen\PTU.

Note: This patch does not contain all of the intended features, which will be added iteratively to the notes as they become available. Additionally, some features may be implemented in a partial state and as such are not ready for testing. When those features reach a playable state they will be detailed on the notes and added to the "Testing Focus". Please issue council all issues related to those in testing focus and in general gameplay. Prisons are incomplete and not a pleasant experience. Avoid committing a crime, if you accidentally do please reset your character or recopy your account.

We want to collect data on various server crashes and will only be leaving the build up for 10 to 12 hours.

Known Issues

QT markers do not appear when spooling up the drive. Work-around: Use the Starmap to QT for now.

Players are unable to buy multiple food and drink items at once.

Armistice zones are currently not working at most major landing zones.

All food has 2 buying options.

Items can't be purchased using mobiGlas.

Some food and drink is missing from shop inventories

The commodity kiosk doesn't allow players to drop down their ship list.

The "Price of Freedom" free prisoner mission is in an armistice zone, preventing completion.

Being in a large party causes markers to not display correctly while inside a ship.

The beds in all Avenger variants can not be interacted with.

Centermass at Area18 has no collision.

The Carrack is unable to take off after using auto-land at an outpost/hangar.

The laser modifications aren't updated on the ship's HUD/UI until the user turns the mining mode off and back on and re-enters the pilot/mining turret seat.

There are no purchasable items in any shops.

Levski ATC is currently not functioning correctly.

Missions givers currently do not interact with players.

One of the AI is stuck behind a wall at UGFs.

The Caterpillar won't be able to be entered after using "store".

The player will die when walking toward New Deal.

If the player swaps undersuits while wearing armor, they will drop equipped items.

Some guards at Lorville will appear hunched and erratic.

Mining mode can get into a state where it flickers between targeted and untargeted.

The character customizer will occasionally become unresponsive.

Comm call screen appears translucent.

Duplicate trains appear at all locations.


Feature Updates

Characters

Sprint speed while your fists are raised has been increased to match unarmed sprint speed.

Some updates to lighting for the New Babbage transit system.

Further Lighting and LOD pass on New Babbage Commons.


Weapons and Items

Added art and models for mining consumables.

Added food items to shops in Area18, Port Olisar, and Rest Stops.

Stored mission items, food, and drinks should no longer be able to be stored in a commodity crate which would cause them to become irretrievable.


Bug Fixes

Fixed an issue where players couldn't respawn an impounded vehicle once the timer ran down.

Fixed an issue where multiple ships could place a size 3 to 5 remote turret onto a gun hardpoint.

There should no longer be a replaceme ball inside an interior door of the Carrack's subdeck.

Fixed erratic movement of trees that was happening with further away LODs.

Fixed certain hangars and garages at New Babbage landing zone not cleaning up vehicles and ships.

Fixed FPS and Ship weapon tracers appearing offset when firing on or near a planet.

Fixed an issue causing the MobiGlas to open inside the player's chest when using it lying down.

Fixed several elevator doors at the New Babbage commons having no collision.

The Caterpillar for the Price of Freedom mission should no longer despawn and fail the mission when leaving your ship's pilot seat.

Fixed an issue at New Babbage trading kiosks where you could only purchase cargo to ground vehicles.

PVE Bounty missions should no longer say Objective withdrawn after completing the objective and should correctly complete.

Player should no longer clip out of the Argo MPUV Transport ship when leaving the passenger seats.

Logging out in the master bedroom of the 890j and then logging back in will no longer place the user in the captain cockpit seat.

Traveling to OM-1 should now send the player to the correct location and not to the center of Stanton.

You should no longer get 2 different fees when your ship is impounded for blocking a landing pad.

The Open & Close Door Interaction Prompt Text on the Rear Ramp of C8 Pisces and C8X Pisces should no longer be misaligned with the door.

Cru-L5 Rest stop should no longer block the QT travel point which was causing Quantum travel to drop out 120km before the destination.

Patrol missions should now correctly appear in the Crusader area.

Players should no longer be able to steal shop items by trying them on or inspecting them.

Personal Inner Thought menu should no longer stay open when entering 3rd person camera when piloting a ship.


Technical

Fixed 12 client crashes.

Fixed 11 server crashes.
