Abnormal swimming pool operating hours 10AM - 5PM. Basically its closed when its the best time to get into the pool. Resulted in us not swimming. Most guests had to swim in the sea instead. Plus the gaming rooms were all closed so we were bored. We got a very good deal but still if theres nothing to do that deal wont avoid us being bored. Lastly, the head board of the bed is a set of tiles which are very unclean. Rest of the room was clean and good. We had 2 infants along with us, the resort gave us an free upgrade to deluxe rooms that had outstanding pool and beach view. Totally Recommend this place and must visit if you are around bentota. We stayed here for 3 nights in the Superior Room. It was a good size ground floor room with a balcony overlooking the garden and the sea. The balcony had a small table, 2 chairs and a single patio lounger. Overall the room looked clean but we did find an empty beer can under the wash basin, a bindi stuck on the mirror and some weird bite marks on us which we got at night while sleeping which went off completely almost a month after we returned home. Bathrooms were nice n clean though. The property is big with a large swimming pool, a walkway within, a functional gym, play area for kids with a kiddie pool, quite a few restaurants serving different cuisines. Breakfast spread was quite good, service was a lil slow but with a smile. You can get tuk tuks 2 mins from the resort and you can also call for PickMe cabs to go anywhere. Lot of beach shacks 2 mins walk from the resort. Although not a private beach Loved the hotel and the location. Price was a bit too high. We had best time in Cinnamon Bey Beruwela. The resort is located right on the beach, it has 3 swimming pools and kids pool as well. Plus a kids play area was great. The Breakfast was excellent. The room was large and clean. We were left to find our own way to our rooms which were very far away. The rooms were clean and well equipped but for whatever reason there was a normal bath tub on the small balcony. The dinner was very average, there was a cat scavenging in the dining area. It was extremely hot. We asked if a fan could be brought to no avail. The service at the table was very poor if we got any. The food at breakfast however was very good the next day and the service we received was great except for a drink served in a badly cracked glass. The change in service was probably due to the fact that we had complained to top management on the events of the previous night. This is not the service we expected from a 5 star hotel and found it most disappointing. We will definitely not be back.
