Place, is, jus, amazing with beach access yet off season time. Staff very friendly like everybody in sri lanka. Nice rooms, good breakfast, receptionist could be little more friendly. My family and I spent our holidays in this hotel in Bentota. They help you to arrange your plan to visit Bentota and other places. We had a great stay, good hotel and excellent staff. We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights. Rates are very reasonable and the rooms are spacious and clean with a balcony. We booked a deluxe room but we were upgraded to a superior deluxe room with a big bathtub by Miss Sarah who was very kind and helpful throughout our stay. Also, the other staff members were equally good and kind in making us feel comfortable and at home. The beach is a short 1 min walk, you just have to cross the railway line and they have a private beach with deck chairs. The food is also good and reasonable. We will definitely return and highly recommend this place. We stayed at room , try to ask for this room as its bigger and has a bathtub. These guys are temperamental and hostile towards guests especially the ones at the reception. The towels are terrible quality, tiny shreds on cotton that come off the towel get attached to you when you try to wipe yourself. They behave as if they are doing you a favor. Never stay here Find better hotels for the same price. Shower booth was too small, staff was friendly, breakfast was beautiful. Shower booth at Double was quite bad. Water was so small and booth was too small, though bathroom was quite big. Other than this, all was well, beautiful breakfast. Close to beach. Nice room. Overall would stay again and recommend to anyone in bentota! Great time spent with kids during their vacation. Nice place with easy access to the beach. Staff was friendly. Room was clean enough but the service and food was not worth the money. On the 2nd day, at breakfast we found the bread to be mouldy and complained to the chef. Very helpful and friendly staff in a small family owned hotel. Issues that arose from time to time were promptly resolved by the ever smiling hosts. Proximity to the beach was a major plus point. Would recommend to all , if you do not want the hustle and bustle of a big branded hotel. I never recommend any person going there. They have room started 16 usd I choose 28 usd.. Non of the rooms facing beach even though name mentioned as beach Inn. Staff is good and helpful. Had a lovely time at this hotel, the staff were so helpful, great location near spectacular beach. Loved the food provided by chef K. Thushara Sanjeewa at the Red Fish restaurant, and a special name check for H. Dinesh Privanga , a young charming boy who could teach a lot about professional service to many UK hotels! We stayed in the superior room for 4 nights then 1 night in standard room. Room was clean. No wifi in rooms though. Standard room was nice as well only major difference was shower had barely no water. All staff were friendly and helpful. Beautiful path out to ocean, nice clean long stretch of white sand. Waves were a bit big to swim in when we were there. Breakfast was ok, fresh fruit could be better. Would recommend staying here. Perfect location. Bathroom is very small than it is compensated by a magical balcony. We spent 4 nights here and enjoyed every minute. Quiet, pretty, with beautiful adjacent beach, which us usually pretty empty, something we enjoyed greatly. The inn has great warm service, and few rooms, which make it very homey and relaxing. A great place to stay. Absolutely amazing everything from the rooms to the private beach and service. Its 5 minutes from the bentota train station with tuk tuk easy accessible with train from colombo - 1h. The room is large has a balcony, tv and fridge. We had a dinner at the Bentota Rock, small private restaurant at the beach at it was amazing. We wish we could have stayed there for longer. Our stay was very nice. We had a big room with a big bathroom. The power sockets were also multi adapters which was a bonus. WiFi signal was a bit weak in our room but we were the furthest away. Amazing Beach is less than one minute away. Have to cross a rail track to get to it fairly normal in Sri Lanka. Chef made a nice meal and catered to our specific spice level. Breakfast was OK. The poor guy was struggling on our second morning as he was on his own so cold food. The first night was spent in the standard room hotel style which were quite modern and clean. It is more private with your own balcony and entrance but the room are older and not as clean and good looking. Both about the same price but with totally different appeal. The staff were nice but some were hanging out under our cabana! Also, they started raking the leaves at and kept me awake. The music from the restaurant has too much bass and can also be heard from both rooms we stayed in, even if I said something about it and lowered the bass myself the first morning, it still ended up way to high the second morning. The beach is nice and you only need to cross the train track to get to it. There was no electricity in our room the last morning but there was some in the restaurant. Nice place with prettig garden, easy excess to the beach. Breakfast okay, watery coffee. The people there were lovely very helpful. The rooms ARNT anything they show in the pictures. The pictures are a lie. The air-conditioner never worked nither did the fans. The food was over priced like 6. Are u kidding me? The food was terrible! Ugh I would never go there again and never recommend this place to anyone. They have different kinds of rooms, and ours was definitely the best one in the place. We stayed there for 3 nights, and it was lovely. The breakfast is abundant and good, and the staff is nice. We had a problem at check out because we had booked two nights with Agoda and the third one we were goint to pay in person but they wanted to charge us a lot more, so just be sure to make the booking and pay through agoda. The staff is very friendly. Rooms are neatly maintained and comfortable. The lady who is in charge is so caring and is ready to help always. I would definitely revisit this place and recommend others to try it. Staff members are very good, and the breakfast was fantastic,near the beach. No restaurant, or no any other entertainment at the hotel. A clear board is a must for a location like this. But ova-roll its value for money. When we get to the place we were not sure we came to the right place or not. It was very difficult from the way they have advertised on the site But the rooms we took were very good and clean Food was okay but can be improved We had a morning walk to the beach which was one of the beautiful 5 mins walks we ever had Staff including the manager was very helpful and supportive Overall we had a great experience and to mention that it gives a very good value for money. Awesome place. Beach very close. Friendly staff. Apart from trying to bump us from one of our rooms, average breakfasts, and being a little away from the main hubbub of the area, this was an enjoyable time. The beach is great to relax on, the restaurant is avoidable as there are good places to eat within walking and tuktuk distance. The rooms are clean, and staff try to help but could do more to orient guests in regard to what was available locally. Room facilities like fridges, tv and coffee would help. Wifi was okay. There are much better foods and services in other cities. Perfect location, perfect private beach, nice AC room, helpful staff! We stayed in the deluxe rooms. Nice big and clean rooms with a garden view. Beach was just 50 mts away. They had lounge chairs and umbrellas at the beach, at no extra cost. They have a restaurant in the premise but not very popular, I guess. Nice place though and friendly, helpful staff Lovely overall with beach access and good facilities. Dinner took way over an hour to be served but it was nice when it arrived. Staff were a bit pushy trying to sell tours and water activities All the things went well. Other things were at the best specially the staff.. Basic need of TV can be placed in a standard room. It becomes dull of one is not aware of latest happening in and around the world. Great breakfast. Nice and lovely staff, but try to sell all the time. Only one minute to the beach with free sunbeds and umbrellas. First no wifi in the room, but staff changed the router so we had a signal too. Location very near to the railway. We reached at pm. We put our luggages in the room and went out for turtle recovery centre. We came back an hour later. We asked the reception, a guy that we would like to have dinner here, as they have a seafood restaurant which is just face to face with the reception. As there is no beer on the menu, we clarified with the guy, he responded by saying it is possible to order, and said a price that is reasonable we had ordered and enjoyed the same Lion Beer with several restaurants for the past few days , so we were okay. When we saw the food about an hour later, we knew something. They looked like it is packed food from some local food stall somewhere out there beside the road. The portion was few ready small , but hey, they are charging the hotel rate of price. The fish dish tasted fine but the squid was not fresh tasted like cooked since morning at all. With the price paid, we were better have our dinner out there before we came back just now :- We wanted to pay with credit card, only being told that the credit card device hit by lightning a day before, broken down. Only cash, I should expected that as from the way the situation going Other negative feedbacks. Tap water - weak and slow, not hot enough, from the time we walked in Internet - No internet at room. The only internet wifi from the modem located at the reception desk which is many levels of wall from our room :-D. I used the internet when had dinner, at 10pm, as I needed to check for our plan next day, I came out to reception to receive wifi signal, only to realize no wifi signal available. I found that the wifi is OFF. I went to the garden and found the guy on duty and got. The staff go above and beyond to make your stay memorable. They have become our friends and we will be forever grateful for their welcoming hospitality. Food from the restaurant is absolutely delicious, true Sri Lankan style food curries are the best , my partner John wants to come back just for the food here. There is one chef and he works extremely hard, cooking from fresh and dressing your food to make it look delicious upon serving. Facilities - for us we wanted a beach holiday and it is a truly amazing location for this, like a 30 second walk to a HUGE stretch of beautiful sand and sea. The rooms do need updating, cabanas you simply get what you pay for. We moved to the deluxe room and it was beautiful but had a few problems with a leaky shower and ants nests. Maybe just ensuring rooms are cleaned at least every 2 days, may help boost the cleanliness rating. But the staff do work very hard and are always on hand if you need anything.
