Tony L Lavoie, 43, and his mum Cheryl Lavoie, 64 were allegedly caught having sex by Lavoie's wife, who walked in on the pair at their home in Massachusetts, US on May 20
A mum and son who were allegedly caught having sex after the son's wife walked in on them have appeared in court.
Tony L Lavoie, 43, and his mum Cheryl Lavoie, 64, were allegedly caught romping in Massachusetts, US on May 20.
Police were called to their home after reports of a disturbance, local newspaper Sentinel and Enterprise reports.
When officers arrived at the property, they were allegedly met by the cousin of Lavoie's wife, who claimed her relative had walked in on her husband having sex with his mum and phoned 911.
According to reports, the pair told police that it was consensual sex and that it was the first time sexual intercourse between them had happened.
When a police officer asked Lavoie why it had happened, he is said to have replied "I don’t know. It just happened.".
Lavoie allegedly claimed her and her son had become close before the incident, and had sex after kissing.
Police charged the mother and son with incest, which carries a maximum sentence of 20 years in jail.
Both pleaded not guilty to the charge when appearing in court.
At the hearing, the judge ordered the pair not to see each other.
They are next due in court on October 27.

The Spy x Family anime has premiered to a fabulous reception, but why are fans instead discussing the show being ‘cancelled’ on social media?
The anime adaptation is arguably the most highly-anticipated new show from the Spring broadcasting slate.
Thankfully, the series met every expectation set by fans, with the first episode premiering last weekend to a fabulous global reception, including a 9.02/10 on MyAnimeList and 9.2/10 on IMDB !
However, a rather unnerving conversation is now occurring on social media in response to a highly inappropriate TikTok video surpassing 1.8 million views. So, has Spy x Family been cancelled and why are anime fans so infuriated by this new TikTok post?
No – neither the production of the Spy x Family anime series nor its broadcast either domestically in Japan or internationally via Crunchyroll has been cancelled.
The search terms for ‘Spy x Family cancelled’ have been appearing on both social media platforms and Google Trends for the past several days.
This has led many in the anime community to become confused as to whether the series has experienced a problem in its production and needs its upcoming broadcasts to be cancelled.
Unfortunately, the confusion around ‘cancellation’ actually comes from a viral TikTok post that suggested that the series sexualised Anya, a child character who can read minds.
The viral TikTok post featured the scene where Loid Forger (Anya’s adoptive father) picks her up after she passes the entrance exam at the private school the family must infiltrate.
Despite being an entirely innocent scene, the TikTok user in question argued that it sexualised Anya, even reportedly going as far to indicate that ‘blushing’ was the obvious sign of this in a follow-up post.
“I hate the way they sexualise the little girl in the show whenever she’s with her dad.” – TikTok User, Antarcticite1 .
The post has since been viewed more than 1.8 million times on TikTok and has spawned countless YouTube videos and Twitter posts condemning such an unjustified and inappropriate statement.
However, many TikTok users immediately reacted by wondering whether this is a classic example of ‘rage baiting’ – saying something outlandish just to get a viral response.
One YouTube video discussing the topic included screenshots of replies from the original user, which reportedly stated that the post was not satire and “If you don’t see how they sexualise her pls just leave me alone.” The original page’s bio also currently includes “This ain’t a satire account stop saying it is”.
“In 2022, it certainly can certainly be more difficult to tell when someone is being satirical or not. Sadly, there are so many weirdo’s unironically out there. Maybe this post is satire, maybe it’s not.” – Hero Hai, via YouTube .
I swear to God and all things holy, these troglodytes have no life outside of Twitter, Tik-Tok, or the internet on general, they seethe and chomp at the bits trying to cancel something, but of course low IQ Tik-Tokers rule there! Thanks @Rev_says_desu https://t.co/j9QcqivSnl
As the majority of rational fans will understand, there has been an issue about the over-sexualisation of characters in the anime community for the better part of a decade.
However, the vast majority of the community is steadfast with the response to the TikTok video: both highly inappropriate and potentially slanderous to those involved in the series production.
As popular YouTuber ‘Rev says desu’ puts it when describing the Spy x Family premiere, “it only took 24 hours for braindead troglodytes to try to cancel it.”
“This is in the Hall-of-Fame of stupid takes. This dude sees a character blushing from happiness because she loves her father and their mind goes to a sexual place. I’m really busting their bubble here, but that connection is not normal. That is weird.” – Rev says desu, via YouTube .
Lmao I keep seeing dumbass youtube videos about spy x family being canceled because people were complaining thst it somehow sexualises anya and im just sitting here looking at it like: pic.twitter.com/sKZGZfhrvu
Apparently blushing is sexual. Idk if they are a new fan to anime or BUT WE DONT NEED YA HERE SPOUTING THAT NONSENSE!! Here’s the link to the full video. Only about 2 minutes: https://t.co/Ny6O2mdRFo
The conversation on Twitter echoed many of the sentiments of Rev says desu’s video. One user remarked that “You cannot make this stuff up! Just got sent a video where a guy on TikTok is suggesting the anime Spy X Family get cancelled. I LITERALLY CANNOT MAKE THIS SH** UP.”
People already hate "Spy x Family". Legit, one of the reasons is when the father picked up the daughter and spinning her in the air. "Oh noooo, a father having a father daughter moment and just having fun. This anime has gone too far. It need to be cancelled" pic.twitter.com/3YoMtan3oK
So Spy x Family got canceled cause of some dude from TikTok 😭
The very same TikTok account has since also shared follow up posts that reportedly show other similar inappropriate posts from Twitter.

This video shows what happens when a mom decides to check out what her husband does when he’s supposed to be taking care of the kids. If you were expecting something negative, you’ll either be disappointed or pleasantly surprised. This dad gets down by dancing with his bemused daughter as the baby delightedly watches from the sidelines. Make no mistake, this is not his first rodeo. He knows all of the words and beats from Katy Perry’s “Dark Horse,” and he’s not afraid to shake it.
According to the video’s description , the mother set up a hidden camera for a few purposes. First, she really wanted to see what happened when she wasn’t at home. Secondly, these kids’ grandmother was interested in watching the kids do cute stuff. The end result isn’t what either of these ladies expected. This guy looks like he’d be right at home listening to Limp Bizkit, but instead, he’s jamming out to Katy Perry. Some dudes would be embarrassed, but this guy doesn’t look like he’d care too much. He’s one of the most demonstrably cool dads of the Internet right now. Perhaps he’s not crafty enough to build the most kickass IKEA bed ever , but he’s showing love in his own way. These kids will remember these good times someday.
