SPY x FAMILY part one was released at the start of 2022 and became an overnight sensation. An absurd cocktail of found-family (literally) and 1960s screwball spy comedy, it's unlike anything you've probably seen before.
On top of that, as soon as we met SPY x FAMILY 's weird and wonderful Forger family, we fell in love. Whether it's the super spy (and super dad) instincts of Loid, the unhinged reactions of elite assassin Yor, or the adorable telepathic antics of Anya – the show has something for everyone.
Its unique stylings have already made the show one of 2022's breakout anime hits, but we were all left wanting more when season one's first half came to a close at the end of June. Luckily, viewers won't have long to wait for more SPY x FAMILY episodes.
Here's what we know about SPY x FAMILY part two.
SPY x FAMILY 's distribution company TOHO announced ahead of release that the show would be divided into two parts, or 'cours'.
The second half of SPY x FAMILY season one will begin airing on October 1 , according to the show's official website and this small teaser video released at the end of August.
Although it has not been officially confirmed by the streaming service, we'd expect all new episodes of SPY x FAMILY to be available on Crunchyroll.
SPY x FAMILY 's second half is set to have 13 episodes, bringing the total to 25. Depending on the exact start date, 13 weeks of SPY x FAMILY episodes would put the part two finale at the end of December.
It's worth remembering that the original manga is still ongoing, and SPY x FAMILY part one only covered three of the currently-available nine volumes (17 individual chapters for those keeping count).
If the second half covers a similar amount of plot then there's no reason to expect the Forgers will be saying a permanent goodbye at the end of part two as there'll be plenty of stories left to tell.
SPY x FAMILY part two will feature much of the same impressive voice cast as the first, with talented English and Japanese actors bringing this host of loveable actors to life. The show will also continue to be a co-production between WIT Studios and CloverWorks (a seriously impressive collaboration).

Speaking to ComicBook.com at AnimeExpo in July 2022, Anya actress Megan Shipman shed some light on what makes her character so special.
"I think what people find, or what I found so endearing about her, is the fact that she is a child that is actually a child," she said. "She's not like a 10,000-year-old being in a five-year-old body. She's an actual child. And I think that's what makes her so endearing is her thought process is that of a child and she's written so well as a child."
SPY x FAMILY part 2 will also continue to be directed by anime legend Kazuhiro Furuhashi, whose work includes the global megahits Hunter x Hunter (1999) and the various iterations of Rurouni Kenshin .
As discussed, the first half of SPY x FAMILY season one covered three volumes (17 chapters) of the manga, so we'd expect that second half to cover a similar amount of ground. That means, if you just can't wait to know what happens next, there are plenty of details out there.
Without spoiling too much, volumes four to six of the manga see Anya, Loid and Yor get into all sorts of trouble.
SPY x FAMILY part two will see the Forgers get acquainted with their new family member Bond, the big white dog with mysterious powers we met in the last moments of part one, while Anya tackles some more impossible exams at her prestigious school.
Fans of the original manga will also be excited to hear that WISE agent Fiona Frost is finally joining the show. Fiona, whose lavender bob and long purple duffer jacket is quite the serve, is Loid Forger's protegé.
Unfortunately for our new favourite family, she's also harbouring unrequited and unspoken feelings for Loid – and honestly, who could blame her? This extra wrinkle is sure to make the ridiculous house of cards that is the Forger family dynamic even more unstable – and we can't wait to see what happens next.
We actually got our first look at Fiona Frost as part of SPY x FAMILY part 2's release date announcement. She can be spotted on the left in this new key art.
You can watch the SPY x FAMILY part two trailer right here! Released just after the season one finale, the trailer teases the first 'mission' the Forgers will be facing – titled 'Stop the Terrorist Bombing Attack'.
It features absolute girlboss Sylvia, who we didn't see nearly enough of in season one, as well as the first look at two new characters. The first is an apparent terrorist who's up to no good, and the second is the Forgers' new very good boy Bond.
The Forgers' very cute dog was teased during the SPY x FAMILY part one finale and is a favourite among fans of the manga thanks to some… unusual abilities.

Spy × Family , a manga series written and illustrated by Tatsuya Endo , features a cast of characters who live in an alternate fictional version of the real world. [1] [2] The story is set in two neighboring countries: Westalis and Ostania. [ ch. 1 ] The two countries just recently established peace after a long period of devastating war. Despite the effort of maintaining the amity, there has been sparkles to ignite the war once again. [ ch. 1 , 18 – 22 , 41 ]

The plot follows the Forger family, which consists of Loid, Yor, Anya and Bond Forger. They are a "pretend family" who stay together in unconventional circumstances for their own ulterior motives and secrets. Loid Forger, whose real identity is the Westalian master spy "Twilight", adopts an orphan telepathic girl named Anya, and marries an Ostanian professional assassin Yor Briar; later, they adopt Bond, a precognitive dog, into their care. [ ch. 1 – 2 , 22 ] The Forger family members, for the most part, are not aware of others' secrets, but they accept the falsehood of their union and willingly and genuinely love and care for each other. [ ch. 4 , 10 , 14 , 24 , 30 ] The supporting cast includes their friends, relatives, colleagues, allies and enemies, who help push the plot forwards. Although most of the story and the characters live in Ostania, Westalis and the fragile relationship between the two countries are always the focal point, serving as the driving force of the main characters' objectives and purposes. [ ch. 18 – 22 , 31 – 34 , 38 ]

Eden Academy ( イーデン校 , Īden Kō ) , or alternatively named Eden College ( イーデン・カレッジ , Īden Karejji ) , is a highly prestigious private school located in Berlint, Ostania. The academy provides top-class education for a student body of approximately 2500 students, from age 6 to 19, covers from academic subjects, to sports and fine arts. The admission process is notoriously harsh, which has 2 rounds: the writing exam and the formal family interview. Once enrolled, students are put into one of eight houses and they have the choice to stay in expensive house dormitories or commute. Students are awarded with a Stella Star ( 星 （ ステラ ） , Sutera , Stella , lit. "Star") for distinctive academic or social achievements, but can also be punished with a Tonitrus Bolt ( 雷 （ トニト ） , Tonito , short for Tonitrus , lit. "Thunderbolt") for transgressions or failing tests. A student who obtains eight Stella Stars becomes a member of Eden Academy's elite students called Imperial Scholars ( 皇帝の学徒 （ インペリアル・スカラー ） , Inperiaru Sukarā ) , while those punished with eight Tonitrus Bolts are automatically expelled.

The Westalia Intelligence Services' Eastern-Focused Division ( 西国情報局対東課 , Wesutarisu Jōhōkyoku Taihigashika ) is the Westalian spy agency Twilight works for, whose main objective is to counter any initiatives within Ostania that may threaten the peace between both countries.

The State Security Service ( 国家保安局 , Kokka Hoankyoku ) , or the Secret Police ( 秘密警察 , Himitsu Keisatsu ) as the common people call them, is an Ostanian organization established to maintain public order. Their main objectives are anti-intelligence activities, including surveilling the public and hunting spies. They resort to any tactic no matter how extreme to get information like kidnapping, interrogation, torture, wiretapping, etc.

Garden ( ガーデン , Gāden ) is the notorious Ostanian assassin group who Yor works for. They operate under the direction from a shadow government to purge the traitors of the country. The group also has connection to the underground mafia, including the former Gretcher family. Many people consider them to be urban legends. It is said that one of their operatives are enough to wipe out an entire military troop.

Spy x Family has been off the air for some months now, but it won't be long before the series returns. After all, the hit anime is expected to drop new episodes beginning next month, and that means the Forger Family is gearing up for the comeback. And thanks to a new trailer, we have been given a look at what's on the table for season one's second half. 
As you can see below, the trailer is filled with new footage, and fans are given a good idea of what season one has in store for them. To our delight, plenty of dogs are featured in this reel, but it seems a group of villains has nefarious plans for the pup. However, one of them should be familiar to fans, and they are able to team up with Anya before long.

Of course, the trailer showcases Yor and Loid as the pair go about their lives as parents. At one point, the mom is seen saving Anya from a strange man, and Loid looks serious in several shots as he meets with other WISE agents. Clearly, something big is going down in this latter half of season one, so fans won't want to miss out on this comeback.
And of course, this all has yet to mention the trailer's theme song. Spy x Family is getting a new opening this fall, and we have gotten our first taste of the track in this reel. The single is "Souvenir" is done by Bump of Chicken, and its catchy beat suits the anime just fine.
