Spotix — Privacy Policy
Summary
Spotix is designed to work entirely on your device. We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. There are no accounts, no servers, no tracking, no analytics, and no advertising. Everything you capture, import, and compare stays on your device.
This policy explains, in plain language, how Spotix handles your information.

Information We Do Not Collect
We do not collect any personal data. Specifically, Spotix does not collect, store on our servers, or transmit:
- Personal information (name, email, account details) — the app has no accounts and no sign-in.
- Usage analytics, behavioral data, or crash/telemetry data.
- Device identifiers or advertising identifiers.
- Location data.
- Contacts, calendars, or other personal content.
Spotix has no analytics or advertising SDKs and makes no network requests to send your data anywhere.
Camera
With your permission, Spotix uses the camera only to take photos of a scene so you can compare them over time. These photos are saved locally in the app on your device. They are never uploaded, transmitted, or shared by the app. You can decline or revoke camera access at any time in iOS Settings; you can still import existing photos instead.
Photo Library
With your permission, Spotix uses your photo library in two ways:
- Read access — to let you import photos you choose into a scene for comparison.
- Add access — to let you save comparison results (such as change masks or images) back to your photo library, only when you ask.
All photo processing happens locally on your device. Spotix does not transmit your photos anywhere. You can manage or revoke photo permissions at any time in iOS Settings.
On-Device Storage
Your scenes, snapshots, comparisons, folders, and settings are stored locally on your device using Apple’s on-device storage (SwiftData). This data:
- Stays on your device and is under your control.
- Is not synced to any server operated by us.
- Is removed when you delete the items in the app, or when you delete the app.
No Third Parties, No Tracking
Spotix does not include any third-party SDKs, advertising networks, or analytics services. We do not share, sell, or disclose your data to anyone, because we never collect or have access to it in the first place. We do not track you across apps or websites.
Children’s Privacy
Spotix does not collect personal data from anyone, including children. Because no data is collected or transmitted, the app does not knowingly gather information from children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction).
Data Security
Because your data never leaves your device, it is protected by your device’s built-in security: the iOS application sandbox, your device passcode, and any device encryption you have enabled. Keeping your device and iOS updated helps keep your data safe.
Your Rights and Control
You are always in full control of your data:
- View, edit, export, share, or delete your scenes and comparisons at any time within the app.
- Delete all app data instantly by removing the app from your device.
- Grant or revoke camera and photo permissions at any time in iOS Settings.
Since we do not collect or store your personal data on any server, there is no personal data held by us for you to request, correct, or delete from us.
Offline by Design
Spotix is built to work fully offline. It does not require an internet connection and does not open network connections to send or receive your data.
App Store Privacy Label
In line with the above, Spotix is reported on the App Store as “Data Not Collected.”
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of Spotix after an update means you accept the revised policy.
