According to reports, running back LaDanian Tomlinson will sign a contract with the San Diego Chargers and then announce his retirement to be effective Monday.
Tomlinson is now at the age of 33 and has played nine of his 11 seasons in San Diego, he will make the announcement at a scheduled press conference, UT San Diego as reported Sunday.
LaDanian will be retiring as the greatest running back in the history of the team. He was also a five-time Pro Bowl selection. He set single-season NFL records in 2006 for the most rushing touchdowns and touchdowns (28), respectively. Emmitt Smith was his second-best NFL player, having been able rush 145 touchdowns (152 total).
