I used study.com to pass my OAE exams. Totally worth it in my opinion. Just to have the breakdown of
topics was a tremendous help when you don't even know where to start. The simplified videos that I could
watch at my own convenience made it so manageable as a college student and mom. Thank you!
We love Study.com, use it almost every day in our little one's schooling.
I love study.com! You can earn college credit for up to 5 courses per month and the
classes are similar in difficulty to a university. You take about 100 quizzes per class and each section is a 3-10
minute video. I'm learning a lot and want to reduce the time I spend on my 2nd Bachelor's.
Speaking of studying; @studydotcom is a great website and app that students can utilize.
It has changed my life for the better and I never run out of resources to assist me as I take very challenging
courses at times.

I am an inspiring budding scientist, who currently works at a fertility unit. I graduated with BSc (honors) in Genetic Engineering from Jordan University of Science and Technology, and then pursued an MSc in Clinical Embryology at the University of Oxford where I graduated with merit. During the course of academic endeavors, I found a passion in writing, whether it being scientific writing or blog writing. Therefore, I am so glad to be a part of Study.com! I am looking forward to hopefully inspire the many budding students out there.
Heather has taught reproductive biology and has researched neuro, repro and endocrinology. She has a PhD in Zoology/Biology.
Upon sexual reproduction, the ejaculate or seminal fluid is deposited in the vagina of the female. After that, male gametes known as sperm make their way to the egg but have to overcome various obstacles and harsh conditions. This phenomenon can be known as the sperm journey, and it starts in the vagina upon sexual intercourse and ends in the fallopian tube ready to meet the female gamete known as the egg. However, the sperm journey can also be traced back to its production in the male reproductive tract, where it also undergo various changes to reach its final form.
The primary function of sperm is to fertilize the egg. The process of fertilization involves sperm binding to the egg and releasing its genetic content into the egg. When that occurs, genetic content from the egg and sperm combine to form the zygote which is the earliest stage of mammalian development. Sperm is released in huge amounts in the ejaculate, but only one sperm will be able to fertilize the egg. The pathway of sperm narrows the large number of sperm in the ejaculate to just a few sperm, and one of them would be able to fertilize the egg.
Hi and welcome to the sperm packaging plant. On today's tour we will take you through the process of sperm and semen production and transport. This process begins at puberty in males and continues into adulthood - even into old age.
Stop number 1: the testes . These organs usually come in pairs. This is where sperm production begins. Inside the testes, sperm proceed through the pro
