This is the second album from Oomph! and it's alot harder and more metal sounding than the first cd. Similar to what was going on with german music of the mid 90's. Lots of hard synths mixed with metal guitars. They are getting harder and farther away from the industrial sound of their 1st cd vocally and musically. This is my 2nd favorite disc from Oomph! and I love the sound of it, hard and upbeat with german/english split lyrics. If you like the first two Rammstein cd's, early 90's to mid 90's Die Krupps or Eisbrecher you'll love this disc. And don't skip the first song, it rocks! P.S. If you like Nitzer Ebb try the first Oomph! cd, not this one.

Kraftvoll und hart
Mit 12 Tracks kommt das zweite offizielle Album der Braunschweiger NDH-Band daher und "Neue deutsche Härte" trifft es auch. Sehr kraftvoll und unorthodox.

good, old Oomph!
Auch wenn dieses Album zu den Ältesten von Oomph! zählt, heißt das noch lange nicht, dass es schleht ist (wie meine Schwester behauptet). Ganz im Gegenteil! In den älteren Alben lässt Oomph! eine Spur mehr Metal einfließen, was dem ganzen einen ganz bestimmten Touch verleiht. Die Songs sind quer durch die Bank einfach nur spitze und ich verstehe echt nicht, warum Oomph! nie im Radio gespielt wird. Alle Songs sind Ohrwürmer und musikalisch sehr hochwertig. Dero nimmt kein Blatt vor den Mund, was sehr zu schätzen ist in der heutigen Zeit. Weiter so!

Einmalig - Oomph!
Diese CD ist für jeden etwas, der zwar Oomph in der heutigen zeit mag aber auch härtere dinge hört. das oomph ganz anders anfing, als sie heute sind, ist inzwischen weit verbreitet. diese cd ist einer der grundsteine und lieder wie "War", haben mich einfach beeindruckt, mitgenommen und nicht mehr los gelassen. schon damals war die band sehr talentiert und machten was sie wollen. bis heute hielten sie daran fest, nicht das machen zu müssen, was jeder will, sondern eben das zu tun, was sie wollen. nach meinem wissen, ist diese cd sogar in amerika relativ bekannt gewesen, wohl auch aus dem grund, dass das cover der cd, dort leider zensiert wurde. ich kann die cd jedem empfehlen, der neugierig auf die jungen männer von oomph sind, die alten mögen - aber auch härteres hören und für jene, die oomph in der frühren zeit kennen und lieben! alle, die lieder wie "augen auf" und "sandmann" mögen und dabei bleiben wollen, sollten doch lieber die finger davon lassen... lg, cari

Das zweite Album
Nach dem Debütalbum "Oomph" das zu EBM gehört kommt dieses Album viel rockiger rüber. Damit haben Oomph! damals schon ihre Wandlungsfähigkeit gezeigt ,was sie auf jedem Album bis heute beibehalten haben. Lieblingssongs: "Sex" "Feiert das Kreuz"""Breathtaker""ich bin der Weg"
5 Sterne im Oomph Sound, CD rockt die sollte man kaufen und nicht die Standard +++ ++++ ++++ einfach der Hammer

Sperm marks the most drastic and important change OOMPH! ever opted for. Their self-titled debut that got released two years earlier might have been a rather clean-cut EBM / electro affair, but 1994 was the year the Germans defined their trademark sound. Sperm is still widely regarded as the birth of the „Neue Deutsche Härte“ subgenre that would later spawn bands like Rammstein and many more with a healthy dose of harsh riffs and electro / industrial influences. OOMPH! might have started on the dance floor, but now crunchy guitars and mature lyrics would create a sombre atmosphere – a pioneering work of art whose importance cannot be overstated!
