What position do you use to spank? What implements do you use? How many clothes are taken off? How long/painful is the spanking? Do you use any other punishments with spanking?
Personally, I spank my daughter Lucy(who is 10 years old) naked diaper position. I usually use a strap for this but there are exceptions. The severeness of the spanking depends on the mistake, but usually it will be between dark red and purple. After the spanking, I would use corner time to reinforce the spanking. During corner time, Lucy is supposed to stand in a corner facing the room the her hands on her head. If she moves around too much or try to cover up her privates she would earn another spanking.

I suppose it depends on when and where and the office...but if I get my preference, it is on their backs with their legs held in the air and a freshly baby wiped bottom...then a good hair brushing to their bare glistening butt cheeks.

Notes on forum pic: Tynwald Day, the national day of the Isle of Man, is celebrated on 5th July . The Tynwald is claimed to be "the world's oldest Parliament", with its origins in Viking settlement of the island more than a thousand years ago. The island is a self-governing British Crown Dependency. Its self-governing status meant that laws regulating corporal punishment in other parts of the UK did not apply to the Isle of Man. The use of bare bottom birching as a court-ordered punishment was therefore legal until 1993. It was originally most often used on young teenage boys, for crimes such as petty theft. Later more severe birchings for older teenagers were used as part of a campaign against "louts and hooligans".
This pic from the Isle of Man Examiner (PG/13633/1/1969/559/1) shows campaigners against the use of birching in the 1970s. The use of birching in the Isle of Man eventually attracted so much media attention that the politician who introduced the law that finally banned it, was able to argue that it was no longer an effective deterrent because "The individual and families of anyone birched would benefit considerably by selling their stories to the newspapers". This echoed the case of one of the last teenagers to be sentenced to be birched, who appealed against his sentence, then tried to withdraw his appeal because he wanted to be birched after all, and the appeals judge decided "we feel his desire to be birched indicates that he is temperamentally unsuited for that punishment."
Birching also caused controversy when the European Court of Human Rights declared birching to be a degrading punishment and therefore unacceptable. Even though the Isle of Man is self-governing, the United Kingdom is responsible for its external treaty obligations, and the United Kingdom had signed the European Convention on Human Rights in 1952. Opinion among the public and among magistrates on the Isle of Man was strongly in favour of continuing to use the birch, but in reality this was politically impossible.
