Whew! The first step accomplished, and I had some time to prepare for the spanking. I decided to have her spend 20 minutes in the corner. I decided since it was her first spanking that I would use mostly my hand and then maybe 10 with the paddle.

I then hugged her and told her she handled her punishment well. I told her to continue cleaning up and make dinner but to remain nude. And that is what she is doing now. I think I will let her put her clothes on after dinner and cleanup.

It is my view that punishment rituals extend the punishment experience without imposing excessive pain or injury. It uses psychological consequences to augment the physical discomfort. For many teenage girls these rituals are as distasteful as the sting of a spanking. Girls cherish modesty and maturity in the presence of their parents so they will think twice before placing themselves in a position where they have to surrender that “right”.

What are your thoughts? Are there rituals that you find effective in enhancing a punishment?

What a liked best (if there is anything to like about a spanking) about my Mom's spanking was that there was minimal ritual. I removed some clothing as directed. I got over her knee and I got spanked. It was quick.

What I really did not like was how hard she it.

The "ritual" for me (and my cousins) was always the same. Pants and underwear down (pulled down by the spanker), made to stand there exposed in front of everyone and get lectured, then over the lap and spanked long and hard, then corner time afterwards with pants and underwear still down.

Some " modern" families are now developping new way to ritualise the discipline sessions... maybe more efficient ? But to start with the tradition is still good !

When I was a teenager I found it so embarrassing when I was told to drop my panties and step out of them having first removed my skirt. Yes the ritual was similar. I was spanked by my mother or by my uncle who lived with us. My mother would sometimes get my uncle to give the spanking if she felt I needed to be punished more severely. I would have my pants and undies pulled down and he'd put me across his lap and my mother would hand him either the wooden spoon or metal spatula and he'd spank me bare bottom while my mother watched and lectures me. Omg! Our parents and husbands procedures, have the same structure. Our main likenesses, and differences follow:

...talk ending "...first name middle name, are you ready for your spanking? (my yes or no answer had to be said)

"No" would = 1 or more of the following: further discussion, parents choice of a "worse" punishment, or "... go to your room for awhile, & we'll talk some more latter." (not usual for good things to occur, during "talk some more")

Hi. I'm sorry as I responded to this in another thread and I'm sorry it is taking me a while to respond to you. We were out of town this past weekend.

I don't like spankings. I feared them as a kid and teen because my parents gave really hard spankings that really hurt. I do not fight, my spankings. (Well not at first.)

Is their any part of the ritual that you hated and swore you would never use — and didn’t (or did)? I have heard complaints about baring (hurts just as much on underwear), “chair spankings” as opposed to couch/bed, implements, the over the knee position itself, extra long lectures beforehand which no one listens to as they stare at the waiting lap or brush, and being lectured while in position as you stare at the carpet.
