If you follow Ariel Winter on Instagram, you’re probably aware that the girl enjoys posing for the occasional selfie.
And by that we mean there are so many pics of Ariel in different poses on her page that if you scroll fast enough, it looks like a flip book cartoon about giant boobs.
When she’s not taping Modern Family or attending classes at UCLA, Ariel lives in a bikini , and she thoroughly documents her adventures in swimwear because she loves the Internet and wants it to be happy.
At least that’s what we choose to believe.
Anyway, yesterday was Memorial Day, which signals the unofficial start of summer, which ironically, is Winter’s time to shine.
When you’re a globe-trotting 19-year-old millionaire, it’s never not bikini season, but these days, even plebes in the more frigid parts of the country are enjoying warmer temps and sunshine.
Which means that it’s time for Ariel to do triple duty.
So instead of posting just one photo from her day at the beach, Ariel posted several, including the montage below, in which she appears to be getting spanked by boyfriend Levi Meaden .
There might not seem to be much going on in these pics from a political standpoint, but this is 2017 – a year in which everyone is outraged by everything at all times.
As such, Ariel took a lot of flak for captioning her racy pics, "Happy #MemorialDay."
"What has that got to do with Memorial Day? Just an excuse to get half naked,” wrote one follower.
“You look good but this is really inappropriate. Memorial Day isn’t about you,” commented another.
It seems Ariel heard their message, as she quickly followed up with another post expressing her gratitude to the troops:
"Could not be more grateful to all of the men and women who risk their lives to protect ours and our freedom,” she wrote.
“We are all forever indebted to your service. Thank you.”
Her fans probably would’ve preferred that message first and the bikini pics after, but we guess it’s a lesson learned.
Ariel will likely be more woke about her beach selfies next year,

VIEWERS were left outraged after a "spanking model" revealed she was forced to drop out of university because of the vile abuse she received from classmates.
Appearing on Channel 5's Student Sex Workers, web-cam girl Ella Hughes, 24, struggled to make ends meet when she was studying Law at Southampton Solent University.
The webcam girl recalls how she fell into the porn industry as a student because she "couldn't hold down an average job so decided to seek out alternative job options."
She explained: "It's such an intense course, there's not much time in between seminars and doing your assignments."
Ella started off in the industry as a web-cam model before she was approached by a porn company to become a "spanking model", which involved being spanked by other performers in online videos.
Although she was sceptical at first, Ella says her first ever video was the "best 20 minutes of my life" and it racked up over four million views online.
Since then, Ella has won awards for her work and was even named among the top three "spankies" in country.
However, Ella says she lost a lot of friends when they discovered she'd been working as a cam-girl while her classmates at university labelled her a "sl**".
She recalled: "I got a lot of hate, even though they were watching the videos. To watch it and then somebody based on their actions, I think, is so snide."
Even though Ella stopped going to her seminars to avoid rude comments, her classmates continued to send her abuse on social media.
What's more, Ella's tutors also told her that "porn and law don't mix" and urged her to drop the profession altogether.
Discussing her decision to drop out of uni, Ella said: "I feel like I was being crushed more and more.
"I decided for myself it wasn't the best environment to be in."
Despite dropping out of her course in Southampton, Ella then joined the Open University to complete her law degree which she now uses on an everyday basis to help understand her rights as a porn star.
Horrified viewers quickly took to Twitter as the show aired to express their sympathy for Ella who felt like she had no choice but to drop out.
One said: "Watching Channel 5 Student Sex Workers and it's actually disgusting and so sad that one girl dropped out of her law degree at that particular uni because of how much hate she was getting from fellow students."
Another added: "She shouldn't have been subject to hate and bullying and the university should have done to [rectify] that."
Praising Ella's determination to progress with her studies independently, the original user wrote: "Universites really need to ensure [they] do as much as they can to try and stop things like this and de-stigmatise these professions.
"Nice to see she finally got her degree though!!"
However, not everyone was so sympathetic towards Ella - with some arguing that she had "chosen a lifestyle" that most students couldn't afford.
Insisting that students can get by without turning to sex work, one disgruntled viewer wrote: "Just say you like doing sex work and go.
"You can live off the loan, you just don't want to."
Similarly, another replied: "A sad old word when people are getting more excited about earning money by prostituting themselves than getting an education."
