There is that point in an unresolved issue, when a variation on the same sentiment is expressed… I dare you…or, perhaps… You wouldn’t dare! You Don’t Mean That Allison and Bradley Parker are leaving for a cabin getaway. But what Allison conceals from Bradley is that she failed to send an invitation to Bradley’s brother and wife to join them. And when he realizes why they have not been joined by their guests, he decides that it is time for Allison to learn a lesson. Records Are Made To Be Broken Howie Arbor is the proprietor of a record store and is enjoying his relationship with a college student who had sought him out for a part-time job. Everything was going quite well until the moment that he realizes that she has clandestinely set aside a record for her sister. When Howie finds out what has happened to the record, she responds with a cheeky challenge. But it seems that Howie has a “cheeky” solution to the matter. A Quiet Saturday Morning Lenny Caldwell is in charge of the athletic department of the small Kingsway Central School District. He is also the staff member called on to administer stinging discipline. Working alongside him is Tonya Lucas, the athletic department secretary who is called upon to witness his uses of the paddle. On a Saturday morning, as the two are working away doing paperwork, some teasing goes on about the errors she has made. Before they know it, Lenny is being challenged to provide Tonya with a chance to experience what she often has to stand by and witness. Home Security A couple in their mid-40s discover as they sit in a restaurant, that their college student daughter is smoking marijuana in their home, courtesy of the new home security system that the husband and father can monitor by his phone. In spite of the fact that their daughter is 19, when they get back, they agree that she should receive a sound spanking from her father before she goes out with her friends. But in the aftermath, when it is just the two of them, he reveals to his wife that their daughter was not the only one observed partaking of a joint that week, and she gets to watch a video of herself breaking the house rules. Now it is time for the second spanking of the evening to take place in the home. Busy In The Office Frank Meadows has a flourishing business providing storage buildings, assisted by his daughter who does some of the design, and a crew of construction workers to erect them. As the business grows, he brings on a young man to help with the design process, and it is no surprise to him that the new staffer and his daughter begin to date. One day when he steps out of the office, as his daughter is flirtatiously bending over a desk in a short dress examining a blueprint, she finds herself getting whacked across the bottom with a T-square. She encourages more of that to take place, and when the father returns to the office, he is amused to sense that some mischief has taken place in his absence. The Vegan Next Door A dispute over a grilled steak leads to some mischief. Running Interference A 63-year-old couple have a loving and passionate marriage of decades, marred only by the wife’s tendency to interfere in the affairs of their married daughter. Finally, the husband suggests to her that what she really needs is a good paddling, but acknowledges he would not do so without her consent, even though he is convinced it would be beneficial to everyone involved. But when her elderly mother comes to visit, she confides that their daughter has expressed frustrations to her about the parental interference. And to the surprise of the wife, the older woman makes a suggestion that sounds very similar to something she recently heard expressed by her husband.

I’ve been fascinated with spanking ever since I started reading historical romance books as a teenager. I read the spanking scene in Defy Not the Heart by Johanna Lindsey so many times, the book practically fell open to that page!
My favorite spanking scene from a mainstream romance, however, is, without a doubt, from Gypsy Lord by Kat Martin . In the story, the heroine has embarrassed the hero in front of his clan, and knows that the only way he will save face with his people is if he punishes her, so she convinces him that he must give her a spanking. Which he does, in front of everyone! Talk about hot! Whew!!!
Now, whenever I pick up a mainstream romance, I always hope that the handsome hero will put the feisty heroine over his knee for a good, sound spanking! In fact, I’m currently reading a book where the heroine definitely deserves one!
