Spanish Golfer José Luis Ballester Makes History with NCAA Championship Victory

Auburn, Alabama – Spanish golfer José Luis Ballester has etched his name in the annals of collegiate golf history by winning the 2024 NCAA Individual Championship. The 20-year-old rising star, representing Arizona State University, delivered a masterclass performance at the Omni La Costa Resort in Carlsbad, California, securing a dramatic victory in a playoff against top-ranked competitors.

Ballester, a native of Valencia, Spain, showcased nerves of steel in the final round, carding a 4-under 68 to force a sudden-death playoff against Georgia’s Ben van Wyk.
