SoundPulse Privacy Policy
Privacy Policy for SoundPulse
Last updated: August 2026
SoundPulse ("the Extension") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our Chrome Extension handles your data.
1. Information We Collect
SoundPulse does NOT collect, store, or transmit any personal identifiable information (PII).
- Audio Data: When you explicitly click the recognize button, the extension temporarily captures a short snippet of audio from the current tab to generate an acoustic fingerprint for song matching. Audio is never saved to any server.
- Local Storage: Your recognition history (song title, artist, cover art) is saved locally on your device using Chrome's local storage API. You can clear this data at any time.
2. Third-Party Services
To identify tracks and display song metadata, the extension communicates securely with music recognition APIs. No user identities or personal data are shared with third parties.
3. Changes to This Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page.
4. Contact
If you have any questions, you can contact the developer via the Chrome Web Store support page.
