Sound Meter & Decibel Meter ("the app") is a measuring tool. It is built to work without collecting anything about you.

What we collect

Nothing. The app has no accounts, no ads, no analytics, no crash reporting and no tracking of any kind. It contains no third-party advertising or analytics SDKs.

Microphone

The app uses the microphone to measure sound levels, and only after you allow it. Sound is analyzed on your device in real time and is never sent anywhere. Audio is stored only if you have Pro and choose to save a record: the recording is kept in the app's private storage on your device, and you can delete it at any time. It is never uploaded.

Data that stays on your device

• Settings and saved records (levels, date, duration, and audio for Pro records) are stored only on your device and are deleted when you uninstall the app.
• A record is exported (CSV) or shared only when you choose to do so through your device's share sheet.

Purchases

The Pro upgrade is a one-time in-app purchase processed by Google Play or the Apple App Store. We do not receive your payment details. The store tells the app only whether Pro has been purchased.

Sharing

When you choose to share the app or a record, your device's share sheet is opened; what happens next is up to you and the app you pick.

Children

The app does not collect personal data from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be published at this address with a new date.
