And Sophia Bush enjoyed a birthday beach day as she hit the waves in Malibu, looking incredible in a sexy floral swimsuit that showed off her toned figure.
The actress laughed and smiled as she beat the heat with a dip in the cool and refreshing ocean blue.

No doubt it was a refreshing way to beat the heat, as LA continued to experience sweltering temperatures.

Sophia, meanwhile, was one of many celebrities showing their support for Lena Dunham on Tuesday.
In a candid Instagram post, Lena posted a before-and-after image of herself as she revealed she is happier now at 163 pounds than when she weighed 138.
Though she described herself as an 'OG body positivity warrior', Lena admitted she still sometimes looks 'longingly' at the before image - before remembering the 'impossible pain that brought me there.'
In response to the honest post, Sophia commented, 'Damn. I love this. Thank you.'

Sophia Bush grabbed the attention of her 3.7 million Instagram followers on Friday when she opted to go braless in an unbuttoned shirt in order to share an important message about voting. The former One Tree Hill star showed some skin as she encouraged her North Carolina family to get out and vote in the upcoming election. The image can be viewed here .
Sophia looked stunning in the shot. She wore a black and white printed top with a collar and left it completely undone, flaunting her bare chest underneath. The top boasted short sleeves that showcased her lean arms. It also fell over her cleavage while showing off her flat tummy and killer abs.
She added a pair of black bikini bottoms to the ensemble. The garment clung tightly to her curvy hips and tiny waist as it accentuated her muscular thighs.
Sophia gave the outfit a sassy look by accessorizing it with a pair of dark sunglasses and a white sunhat, which she held in her hand for the snap.
She sat in a tan chair with her legs crossed. Looking relaxed, she tilted her head back and ran her fingers through her hair. Behind her, some lush green foliage could be seen.
She wore her long dark hair pushed off her forehead. She styled her locks in straight strands that brushed over her shoulders.
Sophia's followers seemed to fall in love with the shot, which garnered more than 168,000 likes within just 17 hours. Her admirers also didn't mind sharing their thoughts with the actress in the comments section, as they left over 1,100 messages for her during that time.
"Gorgeous woman you," one follower wrote.
"Brooke Davis for President," quipped another, referencing Sophia's One Tree Hill character.
"I've lived in Wilmington for the past 20 years and remember when you guys were filming all around. Love your continued support of our little town!" a third user told her.

Fans who have followed the actress' career know that she can bring her fiery spirit to any character and that she often speaks out about social and political issues. She's also become known for showing off her incredible body online.

They say imitation is the highest form of flattery, but in Sophia Bush's case, it's also the sexiest.
Wearing nothing but Amy Schumer's Entertainment Weekly cover, the Chicago P.D. star shared a topless selfie on Tuesday, and gushed over the comedian, writing: "Local single in your area @amyschumer call me."
Bush, 32, is mimicking the face Schumer, 33, is making while posing nude (with the exception of some strategically placed tiny bottles of booze) on the publication. Like lots of comedy enthusiasts, Bush probably loves the "sluttier than the average bear" funny girl for her "I can't believe she said that" jokes.
However, Schumer's real life is far from her Inside Amy persona on Comedy Central. "On stage, I talk about my boyfriend, and the two guys I dated, and my one and only one-night stand, and it sounds like 'This girl is a real Dumpster,'" she told EW . "But really, over two years I slept with four people."
Schumer added, "Not that there'd be anything wrong if I slept with more if that's what I wanted to do."
Regardless, she's racking up the famous fans. In addition to Bush, Schumer caught filmmaker Judd Apatow's eye and the two went on to work on the upcoming comedy Trainwreck together.
