Sometimes, we must form a Chain, to #BreakTheChain

During these unprecedented times, people who have already been suffering from various illness' have been hardest hit.

One such case was of a cancer patient in Bagalkote, who was unable to get the prescribed medicines despite searching frantically in their vicinity.

This is when the Corona warriors swung into action!

The Volunteer network was informed about this and the medicine was sourced. BUT, in Dharwad. Due to the nature of emergency, and unavailability of means of quick delivery the Volunteers tried sending it through a channel of goods vehicles, but to no avail. The distance did not deter the Volunteers. Within few minutes, they strategically planned an elaborate supply chain involving 5 volunteers to traverse 140kms, while taking all precautions to keep themselves safe, to ensure the medicine was delivered to the patient. Sunil picked up the medicines from Garag, in Dharwad and passed it on to Abdul Jabbar in Dharwad, who then went on to hand it over to Anup at the Dharwad-Bagalkote district border. Anup then went on to meet the Patient's family and deliver the medicine, all this with the support and coordination of Volunteers Abhinandan, Pranav and Sanjukta.

The family was surprised at how swiftly the highly motivated Volunteers and the Administration moved to source the medicines and support the patient's fight against cancer.

Anup, who was the final link in the chain of delivery, said he felt satisfied and content at the successful completion of yet another task as a Corona Warrior.

Sometimes, we must form a Chain, to #BreakTheChain.
