Team SoloMid is among the most popular professional eSports organization in the world. Team SoloMid, also alternatively known as TSM FTX, was founded in 2009 and is currently based in the US.
The group has expanded into other divisions, starting as a League of Legends team.
It now has teams competing in Dota 2, Apex Legends, Valorant, Hearthstone, Super Smash Bros., Rainbow Six Siege, Magic: The Gathering, Fortnite, PUBG Mobile, and Chess. TSM also had Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Overwatch teams under its umbrella.
Team SoloMid was founded in 2009 as mainly a League of Legends team that included the CEO Andy “Reginald” Dunh, a division where they have thoroughly dominated and has won seven North America’s League of Legends Championship Series (LCS) – an S-Tier competition.
The organization officially expanded in 2011 and actively began recruiting players to join other divisions under its banner.
In 2015, TSM acquired the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive roster of teams.
The signed players were given bumper contracts and were considered the highest-paid players in the CS: GO gaming division.
Also, in 2015, TSM signed ZeRo in their Super Smash Bros., who then won 56 tournaments in a row – a feat that saw an entry into the Guinness World Records, a record that is unbroken to this day.
In the next couple of years, the team expanded its presence in Rainbow Six Siege, Valorant, and other eSports scenes.
TSM also signed Chess Grandmaster (GM) Hikaru Nakamura, former world No. 2 player, and 5-times US Chess Champion, following the Chess eSports boom. Hikaru was only the second-ever chess player to be signed by a professional eSports organization.
We adopted the team name TSM FTX after Team SoloMid signed a 10-year naming rights deal reportedly worth around $210 million with cryptocurrency exchange FTX. At the end of 2021, TSM was valued at $540 million.

I came to TSM through watching BreaK playing pubg. But I’ve never understood what TSM stands for. Can anyone help me out?
TSM started around the game League of Legends, and the term solo mid comes from the game too. It's a 5v5 game and there are 3 lanes/paths one of which is in the middle of the map called mid lane. Only one person from each team goes to the Mid lane therefore Solo Mid
To expand in this, in the old days when you join the game you would have to call your role/position in chat. The first person to claim the position in chat would get to go there. TSM founder, Regi, would always say “Solo Mid”, when he entered chat; meaning he wanted to be the only player in the middle lane of the map

We love science for the same reason millions play their favorite game everyday. Because it's fun. Our engineers experiment, compelled to push the limits of speed, precision, reliability and intuitiveness. We test buttons to 20 million clicks and design our own sensors so we don't have to accept the status quo. For over 30 years, the relentless pursuit of what's next has been our game and we've gotten pretty darn good at it. And we do it all for one reason: to give gamers the ability to seamlessly translate their thoughts into actions, taking their game from great to… unstoppable.
