Solo dance is an opportunity for skaters to ice dance on their own without a partner and is open to skaters of all ages and ice dance levels, from preliminary to gold and international.
Solo dance is an opportunity for skaters to ice dance on their own without a partner and is open to skaters of all ages and ice dance levels, from preliminary to gold and international. Solo dance events – both pattern and free dances – are available at nonqualifying competitions across the country.
Created to be a fun, nationwide competitive program, the solo dance series allows skaters to expand their competitive opportunities and encourages those new to ice dancing to give it a try. Skaters register for the series online before April 1 annually.
The 2023 Solo Dance Series will run March to August, and end with the National Solo Dance Final, to be held in TBD. Log in to the Members Only site to find technical updates and more information on solo dance.

" Solo Dancing " is a song by British singer-songwriter Indiana . The song was released in the United Kingdom on 18 April 2014 as a digital download from her debut studio album No Romeo (2015). The song peaked at number 14 on the UK Singles Chart and number 85 on the Irish Singles Chart .

A music video to accompany the release of "Solo Dancing" was first released onto YouTube on 17 February 2014 at a total length of three minutes and thirty-four seconds. As of October 2016, the music video has over 2 million views on Youtube, making it her most viewed video. [1]

On 23 April 2014 the song was at number 9 on The Official Chart Update in the UK. [3] On 24 April 2014 the song entered the Irish Singles Chart at number 93, peaking to number 85. On 27 April 2014 the song entered the UK Singles Chart at number 14.

A solo dance is a dance done by an individual dancing alone, as opposed to couples dancing together but independently of others dancing at the same time, if any, and as opposed to groups of people dancing simultaneously in a coordinated manner. Solo dancers are usually the best dancers in a group or dance school. Most solo dancers start after about 6–7 years of dance or sooner. Most soloists are company kids of their dance school. They are usually in more than one dance.

In Comparsas , there are various soloists who strut in front. They usually dance at the edges of the street so that the viewing public can appreciate their moves. Most male soloists carry a large lantern-like artifact on a large pole, resting on an oily pouch, which they make spin at will. Dance is a way to express emotions.
