I purchased this adapter to use with my Dell XPS 13 9360 (model year 2017 I believe). So far, it has been great with a few exceptions. The Good: - HDMI display port seems to work great - traditional USB 3.1 ports all seems to work great with multiple devices - Audio-out port seems to work great; have not tried it with a microphone Neutral: - I have not tried the microSD / SD ports - the USB-C port for charging seems to work great. However, sometimes I still get a warning from Windows or the BIOS (when booting up) that I am connected to a low power charger. This only happens maybe 20% of the time, and I have not tried multiple chargers to isolate the problem. Despite this message, my laptop always seems to charge fine, so not sure what the actual issue is. - Feels a bit pricey, but then again, I could not find a viable, reputable alternative that provided the "in line look" for my specific laptop. Thus, I can't really blame the product for reflecting supply/demand reality. Less Good: - the plastic audio piece meant for "additional stability" does not align with the audio port on my XPS 13 9360. It was not clear in the product descriptions (that I could find) which model years this feature was meant for. The adapter still seems reasonably stable without the ability to use this; however, I am worried that it could become loose over time. - I wish this adapter came will a small bag or padded "case" of some kind. I am worried about scratching/damaging it when throwing in my laptop bag, so I usually wrap it in something to be safe. Something from the manufacturer specifically for this purpose would be better. Overall, I would highly recommend this product.

The picture saying the pop out audio jack meant specifically for the XPS isn’t fully true. My XPS 15- 9510 had its aux port in the far back on the right. Hub still useable but feels too flimsy without the added support from 2 points of connection. Wouldn’t risk damaging your laptop’s usb c port.

This adapter is nice, but it was not made with a MacBook Pro in mind, at least not the 2017 edition (I don't know about the older models). It plugs in, and it fits nicely alongside the macbook, the problem arises in that its not a 100% snug fit. They have a small arm that folds out that would plug into the headphone jack for more stability (it has a headphone jack within the adapter so you don't lose that functionality) however the macbook, at least the 2017 model that I have, does not have headphone next to the USB-C where this adapter would fit. So you just have to plug it in, and for that most part 8/10 it will probably be ok. But those 2 times you maybe have it on your lap and you hit it with you knee, well don't be surprised if your devices lose connection because the adapter moved slightly. I guess what I'm trying to say, is this may look like it was designed with the Macbook in mind, but it clearly was built for another laptop of some other kind, one where the headphone jack is positioned nicely next to the usb-c for a more secure fitting.

I used this with a 2017 MacBook Pro with touch bar. The design is nice, the ports all seem to function properly, but there are two glaring problems for me. (1) This disrupts most WiFi connectivity when in use, and I know that I can connect to a 5G network and it solves the issue, but not all locations I want to work in have a 5G network necessarily, so I can't count on that. (2) I don't know why, but this seems to disrupt some bluetooth connectivity too. I can't even unlock my MacBook with my Apple Watch. I know that sounds like a first world problem (and it is) but that is a simple, lightweight task that uses bluetooth and I can't even do that while this adapter is in use. Why would they ship something, obviously aimed at users of the new MacBooks, if it disrupts various connectivity while in use? Maybe I got a lemon, I don't know. I'm flabbergasted.

Product looks good and works as indented. Only issue is that if you have any sort of protective case for your MacBook, this product will not properly fit. In the photo you can see that even with a thin clear case, the hub does not sit flush to the MacBook. I had to completely remove the bottom portion of my case for the computer to even register the device properly.

Bought this for my new MacBook laptop, and the color matches great! Love all the ports. I thought it didn’t fit first but after pushing it in a little more it sits securely at the side of my laptop. The only reason it doesn’t get 5 stars is that I feel like the height of it isn’t as well suited to the MacBook, but otherwise it’s a great item to keep in my laptop sleeve.
This is a pretty versatile product that I really want to like. It has worked fine for me with my HDMI monitor, SD card, and power charging, but not so much with my Logitech wireless mouse and keyboard. There is a very noticeable lag when dragging the mouse. It's bad enough that I really can't use the mouse, because it's so inconsistent in movement. Perhaps it would work better with the version with 2 USB-C ports. Unfortunately, this product has become almost useless, because, even though it only uses 1 USB-C port, it blocks the other one, so I can't use my mouse and monitor at the same time.
