Reward and Punishment of These Holy Months

Rajab is the Month of Allah, all good deeds done out of respect for this month, are multiplied 70 times in reward.

Shaaban is the Month of Rasulullah (SAW), all good deeds done out of respect for this month, are multiplied 80 times in reward.

Ramadhan is the Month of the Ummah, all good deeds done out of respect for this month are multiplied 100 000 times in reward.

But, do know that evil deeds (even as small as a bad thought) done during these three Holy Months, the punishment is also multiplied manyfold, just like in the Month of Hajj.

Fasting

Whoever fasts two days in Rajab, Allah forgives the sins of your parents.

Whoever fasts ten days in Rajab, Allah forgives all your sins.

The reward for fasting in Rajab, is higher than any other month of the year.

The Month of Allah is the Month of Taubah (Repentance).

Wird of Rajab

Mureeds must complete

• 70 000 istighfar in this month.

For the entire three Holy Months, recite

• 1000 La ila ha illallah daily.

Aim to complete a total of

•100,000 La ila ha illallah

within these Holy Months, it is written that whomsoever has read 100 000 La ila ha illallah, will never enter Jahannam, and will enter Jannah.

Once a Saint saw a child crying in his majlis, and asked him why. The child, who was kashaf said, "My mother passed away, and I am shown she is in Jahannam."

The Saint took pity on the child and his mother, and donated his own recitation of 100,000 La ila ha illallah to the mother.

Immediately the child began to smile, he said, "I see my mother in Jannah now."

So although one makes good deeds for oneself, one may also donate these deeds, if one chooses too.

The Meaning of Rajab

Rajab consists of three Arabic letters.

Ro - Rahmat, representing the Rahmat (Mercy) of Allah.

Jeem - representing the sinfulness of His Servants.

Ba - Birri, representing the Endless Goodness of Allah (Jalla JallaluHu) upon His Servant.

When a servant respects the Month of Rajab, he/she is between the Rahmat (Mercy) and Birri (Goodness) of Allah (JJ). And when a Servant (Jeem) is sandwiched, the Mercy (Ro) and Goodness (Birri) of Allah (JJ), the Servant's sins are, wiped out and disappears.

Rajab The Deaf

Once the Month of Rajab is over, Allah (JJ) summons the month of Rajab before Him, and Rajab appears as, a form, standing before Allah.

Allah (JJ) asks Rajab,

"What did you hear from my Servants?"

Rajab remains silent, despite being asked three times by Allah.

Then Allah asks,

"Why are you silent?"

Rajab replies,

"Your Beloved Prophet (SAW), called me, 'Rajab, the Deaf'. I hear only their good deeds, and I am Deaf to the Bad deeds of your Servants."

Allah says,

"Since this month is imperfect (Deaf), I accept the Deeds of this Ummah, who are also imperfect (Sinful)."
