Job description
BostonGene Corporation is pioneering the use of biomedical software for advanced patient analysis and personalized therapy decision-making in the fight against cancer. Our unique solution continuously aggregates the latest cancer research and clinical information from around the world.
We're seeking a Data Engineer (Middle) to join our R&D department. Our team is working on new modules for our platform, knowledge bases, and novel products, as well as supporting development processes for bioinformaticians.
Job responsibilities
- Developing, maintaining, and documenting services/databases/software products;
- Participating in creating specifications for new products and features;
- Automating development processes.
Required qualifications
- Proficiency in Python and experience in developing full-fledged solutions using the language;
- Team development experience (git, Jira);
- Minimal knowledge of DevOps (the minimum knowledge is required for writing services - docker, k8s, nginx);
- Education in Computer Science or other relevant fields;
- 3+ years of experience in the industry;
- Knowledge of other object-oriented programming languages is a plus;
- Experience creating non-trivial application architectures is a plus;
- Experience leading projects is a plus.
Tech Stack:
- Python (FastAPI, Celery, SQLAlchemy, Pydantic, etc.);
- PostgreSQL, Redis, Neo4j;
- RabbitMQ, Kafka;
- Concourse, AirFlow;
- K8s;
- Atlassian (Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence).
