Software Quality Assurance Tester

Role Description The Software Quality Assurance Tester role is a part-time, remote position focused on ensuring the reliability and performance of AI-related software solutions. In this role, the tester will design and execute test cases, perform functional and regression testing, and document test results clearly and accurately. The tester will work closely with developers, product leads, and data scientists to identify defects, verify fixes, and continuously improve software quality standards. Daily activities include reviewing requirements, creating test plans, analyzing issues, and contributing to process improvements in QA practices. The role also involves collaborating across distributed teams, providing feedback on usability and reliability, and supporting RAIA’s mission by helping deliver robust, trustworthy AI systems.
Qualifications
* Candidates should possess skills in test execution and strong analytical skills to design, run, and interpret test cases effectively.
* Candidates should possess skills in software quality and software quality assurance to ensure compliance with standards and best practices.
* Candidates should possess skills in quality assurance to contribute to systematic, repeatable QA processes and continuous improvement.
* Experience with manual and/or automated testing tools, test case management, and defect tracking systems is beneficial.
* Familiarity with AI or data-driven applications, APIs, and cloud-based environments is an advantage.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate in remote, cross-functional teams.
* Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently in a part-time, remote setting.
* Relevant education or training in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred.
