We’re looking for a mid-level Software Engineer who’s comfortable building and maintaining backend systems in Go, Java, and Kotlin.




This is a fully remote role with clear ownership, minimal process overhead, and plenty of room to shape how things are built.




Salary: $70,000–$120,000

Location: Remote

Experience Level: Mid-level







What You’ll Do

* Design, build, and maintain backend services in Go, Java, and Kotlin
* Work on APIs, background services, and system integrations
* Improve reliability, performance, and maintainability of existing systems
* Debug production issues
* Help shape technical direction and tooling as we grow







What We’re Looking For

* Solid experience with at least one of: Go, Java, or Kotlin
* Strong understanding of backend systems, APIs, and data flow
* Comfort reading existing codebases and improving them over time
* Practical knowledge of system design, performance, and tradeoffs
* Ability to work independently in a remote environment
* Clear written communication and good engineering judgment







Nice to Have (Not Required)

* Experience with cloud infrastructure, networking, or security
* Familiarity with Linux-based systems
* Exposure to privacy-focused or infrastructure-heavy projects
