Netflix’s “Tiny Pretty Things” viewers have branded its explicit sex scenes “soft porn.”
The more people tune in to see what all the fuss is about, the more Twitter has been flooded with comments about how explicit the show is.
One even tweeted: “Maybe it’s me, but there is no need for Tiny Pretty Things to literally be softcore porn.
“There is no need for these actors/actresses to be naked all the time or for all the explicit sex scenes, especially while portraying teenagers.”
Another added: “Tiny Pretty Things by @Netflix had so much potential for a story about a Black woman striving to succeed in a white, privileged sport.
“But instead it’s just a show about sex. Why is Netflix so obsessed with sexualizing minors and pushing student-teacher affairs.”
A third agreed, writing: “About tiny pretty things. I hope the producers are seeing the bad reactions about so many sex scenes, sometimes we truly just want a crime series with ballet.”
The new young adult drama follows Neveah, an elite ballerina who is offered a coveted spot at Chicago’s ballet academy, after its star pupil is pushed to her death from a rooftop.
Each episode sees Neveah — played by Kylie Jefferson — find out more and more dark secrets about the ballet school and her peers, but viewers have been left too distracted by the numerous sex scenes to concentrate on the mystery.
He told Digital Spy : “I was really nervous. It was my first time ever working in that way.”
But he emphasized: “We were really supported as a cast.”
“Tiny Pretty Things” is available on Netflix now.

Netflix may not feature any actual porn among its thousands of titles, but there are still plenty of films that at times could be mistaken for at least the soft core variety.
Indeed, the streaming service certainly isn’t averse to gratuitous nudity, and in the case of a few art house movies, even full penetration.
From sexy comedies to erotic dramas, here’s a look at 10 titles that could help set the mood the next time you want to Netflix and chill.
The most recent film from French provocateur Gaspar Noe (Irreversible, Enter The Void) wastes little time in setting out its raunchy intentions, opening with a close-up of lead actor Karl Glusman getting a real hand job .
It’s not the only time we see Glusman’s erect manhood either in this steamy romantic drama about a no-strings-attached threesome that subsequently changes the lives of everyone involved.
Love looks positively innocent compared to Lars von Trier’s boundary-pushing two-parter.
The art house hit revolves around Charlotte Gainsbourg’s nymphomaniac and the previous sexual adventures she recalls to the middle-aged bachelor who found her badly beaten.
Cue an abundance of graphic sex scenes in which the Danish director substituted the more famous stars’ private parts for those of professional porn actors.
Lars von Trier was also reportedly an inspiration for German director Jakob Lass’ second film, the story of two polar-opposite hotel workers who embark on a wild affair after meeting in an elevator.
Lana Cooper and Franz Rogowski play the lusty couple in a strange romance that blurs the boundaries between reality and fiction.
As you’d expect from a film about a compulsive sex addict, Steve McQueen’s Shame features lots of intense action in the bedroom.
But despite Michael Fassbender – who is no stranger to getting his kit off – and Carey Mulligan both baring all, this dark drama is more likely to depress than titillate.
Named after the French metaphor for ‘orgasm’, The Little Death explores what really goes on behind the curtains of suburbia through five interweaving stories.
Bojana Novakovic (Edge Of Darkness), Damon Herriman (Justified) and director Josh Lawson are just a few of the game cast members in this risque comedy about the curious subject of sexual fetishes .
OK, so Magic Mike doesn’t go the full monty, but few other Hollywood films contain so much six-packs, crotch grabs and pelvic thrusts.
Channing Tatum, Matt Bomer and Alex Pettyfer are just a few of the hunks who very nearly bare all in a surprisingly smart insight into the world of male stripping.
A three-hour long subtitled coming-of-age drama based on a French graphic novel wouldn’t normally arouse the interest of those looking for something to spice up their date night.
But containing an explicit lesbian sex scene that lasts for seven minutes, this Palme d’Or winner is one of the steamiest films to see a cinema release this decade.
You have to wait a while for any action in this initially unsettling but eventually strangely moving adult comedy about a playdate/dinner date that takes a turn for the unexpected.
But when it finally does arrive, prosthetic penises and all, it is genuinely eyebrow raising stuff.
Andrew Tate banned from Instagram and Facebook after sharing misogynistic rants
Strictly Come Dancing 2022 launch date officially confirmed and we are ready

The whole premise of this 2014 indie revolves around two actresses filming and then re-filming a sex scene, a period in which the pair have rather awkwardly fallen in love and then broken up.
Anatomy Of A Love Seen, therefore, features plenty of passionate lovemaking, while also revealing the rather mundane logistics behind shooting it.
The story of a love triangle between a nobleman’s daughter, her servant and the future King, The Concubine may sound like your average period drama on paper.
But the historical South Korean epic combines its royal romance with the kind of explicit sexual scenes that would make the cast of Downton Abbey blush.

Here's a good selection of sexually explicit movies you can stream on Netflix right now.
Netflix is known for its incredible variety of content, featuring some of the best scripted shows to binge watch and a number of the best movies you can stream completing a truly diverse line up. Sometimes, though, viewers want a movie that will add a little steam to their streaming activities, and Netflix can also provide that, with there being a number of options available for those who’d like to break away from the wild dating shows on Netflix or repeated viewings of old favorites that they’ve been filling their time with. And, if you’re considering just that, well, we’re here to help you out..
Below, we’ve listed more than 10 movies that can help you branch way out when it comes to investigating some of the steamier options on the streaming service. And, when I say “steamier” I do, indeed, mean filled with the sexytimes your heart desires. All we know is, if you're looking for something a little more intense than most of the offerings in Netflix's library, then these are the films you need to hunt down. Part the beaded curtain, and follow along as we list the most sexually explicit Netflix titles we could find.
Admit it, this is the movie that sent you to this list. No one would blame you, either, as 365 Days hit the streaming giant in the summer of 2020 and quickly became the latest steamy sensation to get Netflix users excited. For the uninitiated, the film is based on the Polish novel of the same name by author Blanka Lipińska, telling the story of mafia don Massimo (Michele Morrone) and his captive love interest Laura (Anna-Maria Sieklucka.) That captivity part is most of the reason why this film led many to sign a petition for its removal , but fans loved its exceedingly realistic looking sex scenes , and a sequel, 365 Days: This Day , debuts on April 27, 2022.
In this movie from director and co-writer Miguel Arteta, two women who just met, Naima (Alia Shawkat, who co-wrote along with Arteta) and Sergio (Laia Costa) decide on an intriguing relationship experiment by agreeing to spend 24 hours together and have sex every hour, on the hour. Of course, this leads to complications once unexpected feelings begin to emerge, and each woman’s romantic baggage from the past comes into play.
The Spanish film Amar , takes a look at young love and what happens when the realities of life come crashing down. Laura (María Pedraza) and Carlos (Pol Monen) are firmly in the throes of their first love with each other, and enjoying the intensity (and experimentation) that comes with it. But, it isn’t long before life gets in the way of their idealized view of what their relationship can be. The first 10 minutes show you exactly where these young lovers are in their romance before everything gets more difficult than they’d imagined.
Even if you haven’t watched Wild Things , you’ve probably heard of it. This crime thriller involves two high school students (Neve Campbell and Denise Richards) who accuse a school guidance counselor (Matt Dillon) of rape, while the detective on the case (Kevin Bacon) suspects the trio are actually trying to run a scam. It seems to be the rare sexually explicit thriller that is derided for being trashy while also being applauded for the number of expertly executed twists held within, leading it to still have quite a reputation.
When a gynecologist (Julianne Moore) suspects her college professor husband (Liam Neeson) of having an affair, she hires an escort (Amanda Seyfried) to attempt to seduce him to try and test his loyalty to their marriage. The idea of someone testing their partner’s fidelity to them isn’t a new one, but this erotic thriller takes the story to new heights.
In this Spanish film, which is based on a true story, two women (Natalia de Molina and Greta Fernández) meet in the late 1800s and form a strong friendship. Eventually, their relationship turns into much more, and one of them begins posing as a man so that they can legally marry. This romantic drama will tug on your heartstrings while delivering some steamy scenes, which help make it one of the best movies on Netflix with lesbian characters .
Director Drake Doremus has quietly become one of the most proficient storytellers when it comes to complex emotional relationships. In his previous films, such as Like Crazy and Equals , he’d mined that subject for some very unique views on how society deals with such things, and Newness is perhaps one of his most sexually provocative examinations. This time around, Martin (Nicholas Hoult) and Gabriella (Laia Costa) are Dormeus’ subjects, as they start an open relationship after they become bored with their romance, which sees each partner asking the other to accomplish specific tasks while the other watches. Love and lust collide, as the two try to get to the root of what their relationship is really all about.
Set on the French Riviera during a lusty summer, 16 year old Naima (Mina Farid) goes along with her free-spirited and sexually adventurous 22-year-old cousin, Sofia (Zahia Dehar), as she enjoys her partying lifestyle. Watching her cousin leads to Naima realizing what she values for her own life.
Rebecca (Barbara Niven) has been in an unhappy marriage for decades, but after she confides in her best friends about never having an orgasm and being unfulfilled by her sex life with her husband, they suggesst she take matters into her own hands by seeking sexual satisfaction with an escort, Paris (Jessica Clark), who comes highly recommended. Tales of mid-life sexual awakening still tend to be relatively rare, and this one does not shy away from being explicit.
Middle-class teen Raquel (Clara Galle) has had a massive crush on her super rich neighbor, Ares (Julio Peña), for years, and her dreams start to come true when he begins to express his own feelings for her, despite the objections of his family. If you need more sexytimes with your teen drama, Through My Window will not disappoint.
Speaking of teen dramas with sexytimes, the After trilogy (which includes 2020’s After We Collided and 2021’s After We Fell ) takes things a bit further, showing us a slice of complicated romantic life for college freshmen. Sexually inexperienced Tessa (Josephine Langford) starts college very sure of what she hopes to get out of life, but that starts changing for her when she meets and falls for bad boy Hardin (Hero Fiennes Tiffin). Not only do you have three hot tales of young love to watch right now with the After trilogy, but the After We Fell ending set up the fourth film in the series based on Anna Todd’s best-selling books ( After Ever Happy ), which is due in theaters in September of 2022.
As you can see, there's no lack of sensual thrills in your Netflix queue, if you know where to find them. The movies we've pointed out above are a very good jumping off point for a night of filmic sexual adventure, and who knows what else you'll find in the digital library on this streaming giant's comprehensive servers. But, be sure to stream responsibly. If need be, make sure the kids are either watching Looney Tunes or are asleep before embarking on any of these explicit viewing escapades.
