Sofia Vergara recently turned 45 on July 10th and she’s proudly flaunting her birthday suit.
The “Modern Family” star posed completely nude for Women’s Health’s Naked 2017 issue. And the highest-paid television star in the world claimed flaunting her curves was a breeze.
“I’ve always been very comfortable with my body,” the actress told the magazine . “You know, I’m Latin so we grow up going to the beach in a G-string. I used to do work for the Latin market in my 20s. Like I would do calendar shoots, very sexy and everything. And you know things have changed… how much you take care of yourself is a reality. We all age and you have to embrace it.”
However, Vergara admitted she was a bit nervous about the upcoming photo shoot. Right before, Vergara was filming “Bent” in Rome and “ate like an animal.” She wasn’t exercising and then two days before the shoot, she came home with pneumonia. Looking over at photos of potential poses sent by the creative team also didn’t help.
“They’re all of tall models holding their boobs with one arm,” she said. “But I can barely cover my boobs with two arms — I’m a 32-triple-D! My boobs are real, and I had a baby. If I grab them, I can’t even cover the nipple!”
These days, Vergara is attempting to have a regular fitness routine, but even she gets tempted to stay in bed.
“Like I find any excuse not to do it,” she said. “[I’m] Taking a couple of yoga classes. I’m very bad at it. I don’t have much patience. So I’m always trying to find something that I can do."
She also added, "I don't know if I'm strong. I have bad knees and very thin bones; I can barely do a pushup. I wish I could be a little more athletic, but when you're born with these gigantic boobs... I've had them since I was 13 and they've gotten bigger when I was pregnant and had the baby."
And even though her husband, "Magic Mike" actor Joe Manganiello, is a lifelong athlete, she still can't seem to enjoy any workout sessions, either alone or with her beau.
"It's like torture for me," she explained. "I'm in a bad mood two hours before, I'm in a bad mood while I'm doing it, I'm in a bad mood at the end because I have to schedule the next class."
Vergara did say it’s gotten easier for women like her to proudly embrace their shape in front of cameras.
“It’s not just the Barbie doll on the cover,” she said. “It’s real women. So it’s getting better. I think before it was a little bit more strict to how women were supposed to look... It's not about having muscle or cut abs. I don't have abs because I'm not 'I need to be a fit model with the perfect body.' That would take too much effort!"
The September 2017 issue of Women’s Health hits newsstands August 8.

Sofia Vergara is baring her famous physique for Vanity Fair .
The 42-year-old Modern Family actress stuns on the cover of the magazine's May 2015 issue -- shot by famed photographer Annie Leibovitz -- in which she talks about everything from her voluptuous figure, her relationship with fiance Joe Manganiello , and how she was able to amazingly turn her signature accent into an asset.
Surprisingly, Sofia says her enviable curves aren't desirable.
"My whole life, buying a bra was a nightmare," she complains. "What I used to do when I moved to L.A., I found places like Frederick's of Hollywood that make bras for [strippers]. Believe me, I wish I had fake boobs. I lay down and they completely go down like all the way, like here."
"It's not fun," she stresses. "My boobs are, like, huge."
Which is why she gets defensive about the types of dresses she's able to wear on the red carpet.
"Sometimes you read in the press like, oh, Sofía is wearing again the same shape dress, and I want to answer them and say, 'What the f**k do you want me to wear?'" she asks. "Obviously there’s a reason why that's what I go for."
Still, nobody would argue that Sofia is considered one of the most attractive actresses in Hollywood -- and she definitely caught the eye of Magic Mike star Joe Manganiello instantly. Sofia reveals that the 38-year-old Joe pestered her Modern Family co-star Jesse Tyler Ferguson for her number the very same day she announced her breakup with former fiance Nick Loeb.
"Joe immediately contacted Jesse Tyler Ferguson, like, 'Please, please, please tell her I want her number,'" she dishes. "And I'm like, 'Jesse, no, he’s too handsome.' Then, after two days of Jesse trying to convince me, I'm like, 'O.K., give him my number.' I'm thinking, I'm in New Orleans shooting, and he's in L.A. Nothing's going to happen. But we started talking a lot, and then he showed up in New Orleans. Since then we've been inseparable."
Though one surprising thing does bother her -- their four-year age difference!
"There's nothing about him I'd change other than the fact that he's four years younger than me," she admits.
As for her famous Columbian accent, Sofia says she has hired a speech coach to help her -- but eventually learned to embrace it.
"It's exhausting," she says about her work with a speech coach. "It's also boring. And I have a bad ear, you know? I've been in this country for 20-something years and I still sound like this . . . So I was going to auditions and the only thing I could focus on was the position of the tongue. I was not acting. And then I thought, If I can't get a job with my accent, this is not a job for me."
Obviously, it all worked out. According to Forbes , Sofia is the highest paid actress in television, and she's earned the coveted title three years in a row . Last year, she brought in an estimated $37 million.
"If Gloria is a stereotype, so what?" she says about critics of her character on her hit ABC show. "Who wouldn't want to be Gloria?"
ET caught up with Sofia at the Screen Actors Guild Awards in January, when she dished about whether or not she's planning to have kids with her "too handsome" fiance. Watch below!

She isn’t the first celebrity to do a tasteful topless shoot, but are photos like these necessary to further a woman’s career in Hollywood?
In a recent shoot for GQ Mexico , Sofia went topless, revealing more of her ample cleavage than we’re used to seeing. Posed in a sheer white dress and draped in a seductive fur sheet, the actress’s impressive assets are on full display. Obviously the natural beauty looks amazing in nothing but fur and heels, but should Hollywood’s most attractive ladies have to overtly sexualize themselves for popular magazine spreads?
Sofia isn’t the first powerful lady to bare it all in a tasteful photo shoot. Reality starlet Kim Kardashian wore nothing but silver body paint in a photo spread for W Magazine . It was a lot classier than her work for Playboy , but it still revealed more of the starlet than many wanted to see.
The pressure starlets are feeling to “take it off” for cameras could be a sign that woman are more willing to celebrate the beauty of their bodies. But it also has some people questioning if the trend to go nude is causing people to focus more on a star’s sexual assets than the talents that made them famous.
