EXCLUSIVE: In the bizarre clip, the flight attendant, whose name badge is visible, holds the tights and two pairs of shoes to her nose and says: “I wish you could smell this”
A British Airways stewardess has been suspended over a video which shows her in uniform peeling off her tights – and sniffing them.
In the bizarre clip, the flight attendant, whose name badge is visible, holds the tights and two pairs of shoes to her nose and says: “I wish you could smell this.”
She talks about just having made a flight knickerless, then teasingly goes on to unbutton her blouse to reveal cleavage before blowing a kiss.
The air hostess was grounded by horrified BA bosses after the clip began to be circulated. A source said: “It was doing the rounds and they hit the roof.”
It is not known why the woman made the film. But there is a thriving market in hard-up staff from other unidentified airlines flogging worn tights and shoes to fetishists on eBay.
The video passed to the Sunday Mirror shows the woman saying: “Don’t look at how rough I look after the flight.
“So you want me to smell my shoes and my tights? Well, first of all, I’ve got to take the tights off.”
She then slides them down her legs before ripping off her lanyard and continuing: “These I’ve been wearing all day, with no knickers, just for you.”
Burying her nose in the tights, she inhales before throwing them aside and holding up two pairs of black shoes.
She says: “I wasn’t sure what shoes you wanted me to smell, so I got both.”
Closing her eyes, she sniffs each and says: “Oh, I wish you could smell this.”
Then she starts undoing her blouse and adds: “And I wish you were here to carry on unbuttoning my shirt. See you soon.” She ends with the kiss.
There is no indication the hostess sold either the video or the garments. But dozens of other cabin crew do sell such items online to boost their salaries.
Bids start at less than £10 for a pair of used tights on eBay, with garments worn on long-haul flights fetching the highest prices from foot fetishists.
A cabin crew source said: “It is well known for some staff to supplement their income by selling their old work clothes. A lot of us simply can’t live on the wages we’re paid.
“The longer the flight the more people seem willing to pay for them. Sometimes they go for £50. I heard one girl got £80.”
In the ads, sellers hide their faces and do not disclose which airlines they fly for.
But they post photos of their stockinged feet and legs aboard planes to prove they are genuine.
One ad for used tights says: “Worn on long haul flight to Bangkok and back 24+ hours. Laddered slightly.”
Another offers a pair “worn on two long haul flights.” A third advertises “longhaul USA Singapore Argentina. Worn. Used. Sealed in an airtight bag.”
Some sellers say the hosiery has been washed to “eBay standards” – but some follow the claim with a winking emoji or invite users to message them directly for “more details” or “extras”.
The source added: “It’s all very weird but there’s a problem underlying it, and that’s the fact that the wages are so poor.’
Tonight British Airways confirmed it had suspended a staff member over the video.
A spokesman said: “We hold our colleagues to very high standards and expect them to behave responsibly. When this doesn’t happen we will always take the appropriate action.” ”

FLIGHT attendants have found a bizarre way to earn a bit of extra cash — selling their worn-out heels and old hosiery to people who really love feet.
FLIGHT attendants get to travel the world for free, but the job doesn’t pay that well.
So savvy cabin crew members are making some extra cash on the side by selling their used shoes and tights to foot fetishists, The Sun reports.
Most people would probably pay to avoid going anywhere near a high heel that has walked hundreds of kilometres along plane cabin aisles.
But there are some who will shell out decent money to own the sweaty shoes — and the stinkier the better as far as those guys are concerned.
Some flight attendants use their own websites to sell everything from tights and shoes to used underwear, like the woman who operates All Things Worn And Beautiful.
Operating under the pseudonym Juice Pusher, she sells used tights and used pants for $43 a pop.
“Early on, I figured that there is a demand for well-worn tights, especially from flight attendants,” she said.
On eBay, women sell “very used cabin crew shoes” shoes for up to $103.
In a bid to make themselves stand out from the others on the auction site, many of the sellers often boast about how bad their heels smell.
One woman selling a pair of size 6.5 heels said: “They may have a little ‘worn’ aroma if sniffed closely.”
Another woman selling a pair of size 7 flats described hers in detail, saying: “Well-worn cabin shoes — just returned from America wearing them on a very long flight.
“They have a distinct odour so let me know if they need an airing. Scuffs on the toes from locking and unlocking trolleys.”
eBay has cracked down on the sale of bizarre items in recent years, so when selling used tights, many of the descriptions claim that they “will be washed to comply with eBay rules & regulations.”
But all of the used hosiery on offer also proudly includes “holes and snags” in the description.

New data has revealed the astonishing Aussie trend behind international flight searches, with one surprising destination topping the ‘most searched’ route.
An airline has hit back after an Australian-American doctor went on a Twitter rampage following a three-hour flight in between two overweight travellers.
